hopdog (13102) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2004
Poured with a medium yellow color with a very small head. Hoppy piney aroma. Not as bitter/hoppy as other IPAs I’ve tasted. Somewhat of a sour aftertaste. Tastes of lemon, pine and citris. I’ll pass on this one in the future. slowrunner77 (12804) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 21, 2014
"consistancy prevents me from putting this one at the top...at one point a few years ago it was my favorite ipa (pre stone), but over the years Mendocinos quality has tailed off...not as big and hoppy as it used to be, but still good."
Used to be great! thewolf (12789) - Kolding, DENMARK - JUL 22, 2013
Bottle, bought @ YNWA Beershop, Kolding. Pours clear orange with a large, lovely, creamy white head. Aroma has peach, grapefruit, light pine. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has quite crisp malts and good bitterness. The hop flavours are a tad subdued, but it’s a fine drink nonetheless. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JAN 7, 2006
12oz bottle-pours a thin light tan head that reduces quickly. Color is clear gold. Aroma is musty, earthy, malt, hops. Taste is strong grapefruit hops with a bite. Good carbonation, then malt comes through. Unpleasant aftertaste. rosenbergh (11793) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 24, 2015

Meilby (11689) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 31, 2013
Hazy golden color with a small off-white head.
Sweet dark fruity hops, mild sugary sweetness, prunes, some unfreshness and maltiness in the aroma.
The flavor is harsh herbal hops, moderate bitterness, unfreshness and dryish maltiness.
Bottle 355ml @ Geokkjerdaknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - JUL 11, 2008
Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape and orange. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
On tap at Brother Tuckers. A nice amber pour with a pretty big white head with lots of lacing. Typcial IPA aromas of citrus, pine and malt. Flavor was smooth but pretty light on the hops. A good beer, but not great by any stretch. BVery (11361) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 30, 2009
Bottle. Gold pour, white head. Pine hop and spice on the nose. Citrus, malt, and hop on taste, but maybe a little out of balance - fairly bitter. hopscotch (11236) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - SEP 4, 2003
Clear, deep golden brew with a white, large, rocky head. Mostly lasting with spunky lacework.
The nose contains honey, evergreen, black pepper, whole grain rice and hearty white bread. Warmly bitter from start to finish. Numbing and pleasant experience.
Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Long, bitter finish! DocLock (11020) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 25, 2004
Pours slightly cloudy dark straw with more rich, creamy, white head than a hotel room at the Republican convention. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, spice, florals, and black pepper. Tastes very hoppy, with citrus at the finish. Palate is medium bodied. A nice, well above average, but not outstanding, IPA.
