Bottle. Drank fresh and backlogged. Pitch black with almost no head.
Roasted malt aroma, a bit sweet, coffee and chocolate. A well roasted, sweet stout flavor. Not overly sweet, very burnt malt flavor with coffee and chocolate. A long-lasting roasted malt finish. Very well balanced. A sweet stout type, but not too sweet. Creamy and slightly milky. Very good. Not especially wintery, but great. arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - JAN 3, 2010
Bottle from 2007. Pours thick black with caramel colored head, aroma is chocolatey with a bit of sugar sweet. Taste is creamy still with nice chocolate notes that end sweet with a bit of bitter. Good oatmeal stout, especially aged to smooth out the flavors! nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 30, 2009

Black with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with hard roasted malt, coffee and chocolate notes. Sweet flavor with hard roasted malt, caramel, coffee, wood and dark bitter chocolate. Low carbonation. Ends bitter. puzzl (3258) - New York, New York, USA - AUG 25, 2008
Bottle, 2 yrs old. Pours with a decent head that disappears. This is surprisingly good after these years, retaining a rich, dry, lustery character, full of coffee and oatmeal and a touch of sweetness. A little oxidation has set in but a light sherry character weds everything rather well. A touch of brine and a light coffee finishes makes this an easy drinker. Excellent. fonefan (49399) - VestJylland, DENMARK - AUG 19, 2008
