Name changed to Redwood Stout in 2015.

Jet black in color and fullbodied with a rich, creamy, long-lasting head. Robust, with luscious chocolate and coffee flavors, it is balanced with just the right amount of UK Golding hops. Brewed with massive quantities of oats, our Oatmeal Stout is smooth in the extreme. It pairs well with a wide range of hearty, full-flavored foods and delicious desserts. Our Oatmeal Stout is 6.0% alcohol by volume and 100% marvelous!

Bottle @ some house as part of pre-gaming festivities (yes, Im this much of a loser). Dark brown pour with a khaki head. The nose isnt so bad. Roast, cocoa, and some coffee. Light buttered graham cracker sweetness. Flavor is a bit sweeter than expected. Graham cracker and a bit of butterscotch. Roasted malt, cocoa, and coffee. Certainly could do worse.

Bottle from the Co-Op in Davis, CA. Pours pretty black with a thin tan smear on top. Aroma is smooth burnt malt with a coffee aspect. Full bodied with chewy carbonation. Flavor is pretty much chocolate and coffee with the burnt malt as background. Quite tasty. Just enough bitter to round things out.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy brown head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid roasted chocolate malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy roasted coffee flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where exceeded.
