Aroma; roasted malts, liquorice, soil, coffee, black chocolate. Look; darkest brown body headless. Taste; black chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, cocoa – leading to a malty finish. Feel; flat. Overall; carbonation problems. [33cl.btl, 5%abv, BB 10/2016]

Lowenbrau (4473) - Asturias, SPAIN - DEC 2, 2013
330ml bottle from 1420. Pours dark copper, hazy, some amber reflections, with little vanishing off white head. Poor head retention, poor lacing. Roasty, coffee, liquorice, ripe fruit aromas. Light body, soft carbonation, thin texture. Taste is roasty, coffee, caramel, liquorice, some fruity notes. Lacks more body, not a stout imo, more like a brown ale or schwarzbier.

ruigo (3080) - PORTUGAL - JUL 27, 2013
From bottle with a friend. Pours dark brown with a thick head. Some coffee and roast in the aroma. Medium carbonation. Light bitter, light sweet with dry end. Nice beer.

3.3
sfuen03 (363) - Barcelona, SPAIN - JUN 8, 2013
Dark chocolate color, sediment present. Average sized, brown creamy head. Aroma is strong, lead by licorice and cocoa; alcohol nicely integrated. Palate is rather discreet, soft carbonation and bitter finish. Taste remembers of licorice and black fruits; bitter and very drinkable.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy brown with an orange hue and a creamy and lacing beige head. Subtle roasty nose. Medium body, subtle, sweet roast that actually grows rather bitter. A little greasy though. 180313
