3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap @CBC
Pours reddish amber with low head
Aromas of red malts, caramel, bready yeast
Quite dull taste. Overall well balanced but way too low hoppyness and caramel maltyness for a DIPA
75cl Bottle from De Molen Beershop. Dark amber-brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, a little oxidised, light hoppy, fruity, oranges. Flavour is something else, sweet, luscious thick malts, orange syrup, peel, light roast, quite fruity, warming alcohol, firm bitter finish. Full bodied, viscous, thick, syrupy. Lovely stuff. Bottle at Craig’s. Pours copper amber, juicy pine, sweet toffee, dry and bitter. androman (2798) - Maarssen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 25, 2015
75cl shared bottle @ home from De Molen beershop.
Body is opalescent to hazy, ruby-brown to roasty-copper,
Head is small, creamy, beige, mostly diminishing, good lacing.
Nose is sourish, gummy bear.
Aroma is molasses, caramel, honey, soap, herbs, red fruits, light licorice, red wine.
Taste is medium to heavy sweet, medium bitter, light sour.
Finish is long lasting heavy sweet, medium soapy hoppy bitter, milk chocolate.
Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation.
Good dessert IPA, not too easy to drink, a bit too sweet for me. BlazerT (1245) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - JAN 7, 2015
Teku glass. Bottle. Brown, deep amber with small to medium, densed, white/latte head. Quitw short lasting. Moderate lacing. High malty aroma - mainly caramel, light to medium hops aroma - tropical fruits (mango, lychee), little booze aroma. Mainly heavy malty (caramel) flavour, that makes this beer even semi-sweet. Medium bitterness, which begins in the middle of degustation and intensifies. Sticky and thick, medium to full body, average carbonation, Finish is long and bitter. In overall very malty IIPA, which could be more hoppy. Nothing special. Idiosynkrasie (7949) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - NOV 1, 2014
750ml bottle. Murky, brownish amber colour with late awakening, small, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, sulphureous head. Caramel malty aroma with hints of almond, some resin, notes of concentrated blood orange, hints of tangerine and orange. Taste is quite similar, vaporized caramel malt, almond and blood orange; oily texture. Slightly monotonous, condensed, underdeveloped.

75cl bottle (shared)
Light brownish verry viscous beer, we could get a nice creamy head on it which is tick, super viscous as well. And might be small but has a good rentention
Aroma: Caramelised malts, butterscotch, Tropical fruit, Resiney Grapefruit notes, rye
Taste: Sweet caramel with a lot of fruityness allthough it just stays below the artficial candy range, which is great, some resinious notes in the finish. (Complexity is mainly found in the broad fruity palate, byt that’s it.)
The Alocohol is there but’s very in the back is only rouding taste in a great way.
Very thick mouthfeel, heavy full body (probably one of the most viscous beers I heard.),
light carbonation.sticky texture
I’ll be fair don’t expect a Double IPA, for us this was a very good Hoppy Barley Wine.
And best served too be shared as it probably is too sweet for it’s bottle size wyzzywyz22 (2752) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2014
Bottle from De Molen Store, shared with weasel keneivel. Great looking bottle/label. Poured a very murky brownish colour with a shy yet lingering off white head. Nose of cheesy hop, caramel malts, fruits and booze. Very gentle carbonation. Similar themes unfolded in the sweet flavour with notes of spice and yeast. Not quite how I imagined it was going to taste but plenty of quality on offer here. Nice one. weaselkenievil (1609) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2014
Bottle at home thanks to and shared with wyzzywyz22. Thanks mate! Can’t believe you left my door open all day ha ha! Poured a murky dark brown with a medium pale beige head. Aroma is big and boozy, cheese, malts, cake, yeast, hops. Not hugely IPA like and heavily hopped, quite mild hoppage really. I enjoyed it though for sure..

pours very dqrk yellow to brown
smell is those typical ’sugary’ hops
low carbo . malty with a very heavy backbone . kinda reminds at shark pants, but less extreme bitter . goddamn, i underestimated the goodness of this one !
