COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Original.

(Keg at Tlustá Koala, 20160613) The beer poured nearly black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, chocolate and grass. Palate was rather full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, caramel, sweetness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt, malty and bitter. Quite decent schwarz.

Keg @ Vinárna U Sudu, Prague. Pours very dark with a creamy, long lasting, khaki head, good lacing. Looks like a Guinness. Sweet and roasted aroma, milk chocolate and coffee. Mid-dry and light mouthfeel, mild carbonated. Roasted and chalky taste, milk chocolate, cocoa, black coffee and caramel. Creamy mid-sweet finish.

[email protected], Tampere. Deep ruby red colour, small beige head that leaves some lace. Aroma is mild dark fruits, some slight notes of earth and mild sweetish malts. Flavour is quite much the same. Quite bitter finish.

Bottle from „Pivo Söröző”, Bp. Pours an almost pitch black with a ruby touch and a medium sized, dark brown and creamy head on its top. Sweet-sourish nose with vanilla and chocolate. Begins sharp followed by a sweet-sourish aroma of vanilla, chocolate and roasted malt. The dry finish brings dark chocolate and light notes of hops along, which remains at last in a long roasty aftertaste. Texture is slick, body is medium. Enjoyable stuff.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2016 330ml bottle (K Supermarket, Kamppi) (6:4:6:4:13=3.3)
6 Big sweet bready aroma, quite malty, a little oaty and biscuity, or even flapjacky.
5 Almost black, just some slight ruby glint. Large doughy tan head.
6 Very full bready taste, very roasted, quite burnt, a little bit carbony, oily and ashy. On the flipside, there’s a milkiness to the retronasals that’s quite mellowing.
4 Smooth and full palate, decent carbonation. The burntness and the hops together give a metallic feel, and the finish brings out the ashier aspects of the taste.
13 Not quite as sophisticated as the novopacke, for example, but a classic czech dark lager.
Rerate: Tap (Beer Museum, Prague) (6:4:6:3:11=3.0)
Sweet black tea aroma. Bland sweet tobacco and yeasty soy taste. That exagerates things a little, it’s at relatively low levels. Not as good as before.
