Draught @ Messrs. This is their best brew. A nice simple stout that is not exceptional but very sessionable.

Deu (948) - Nantes, FRANCE - FEB 5, 2013
Draught at the Messrs Maguire pub in Dublin. Dry, well roasted stout with lots of coffee and a touch of cocoa. Very dry and flavorful. Typical but well-made dry stout. Although I tried 5 times (usually in the afternoon) and it gets me very very sleepy. Strange...

Keg at the pub. Dark brown-black, smooth body, chocolate on the nose, medium carbonation, dry, roast barley and some coffee.

This was the best of the beers tasted. The pub is well worth visiting on the Liffy near the OConnell Bridge. The stout poured pitch black with tan head that laced down the glass. You detect the aroma of coffee and smoke at the beginning. The stout was a medium body beverage with soft carbonation. The stout had a dry finish with rich coffee aftertaste.

Tranquillity (2039) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 4, 2011
Draught at the brewpub in Dublin, under the name Stout. I assume its this one. Black body, thick brown head. Sweet aroma, raisins and malt. Taste a bit weak and has quite a boring finish. Nothing wrong here, but nothing special.

Smoky and roasted aroma. Continues in the flavor along with a very subtle peat quality and a nice chocolate finish. Good mellow hop bitterness and medium body all the way through.

Draft @ Messrs, Dublin.

culchiem (3689) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2011
Draught at the pub. Black with a thin off white head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate notes. Flavour is slightly sweet with roast and chocolate, plently of malt in the background. Not as creamy as some Irish stouts

On tap at the brewpub in Dublin. Standard looking stout, opaque dark brown with frothy nitrogen head. Nice and bitter, some roast malts and black coffee. Nothing particularly outstanding, but very solid. Would love to try it again someday.
