On tap at the brewpub. By far the best beer on offer. Fine roasted malt aroma. A bit watery, some more strength could possibly hawe drawn out more flavour. mansquito (6514) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 29, 2007
At the Messrs. Maguire bar in Dublin. Off white creamy lasting head. Reddish dark brown color. Coffee aroma. Pretty bitter taste. Slightly alcoholic taste surprisingly. Really roasty and some chocolate in there as well. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2006
Aroma is light sweet roasted malts and a touch of coffee. Taste is similarly drinkable and nothing to complain about. Beersiveknown (5296) - NORTHERN IRELAND - SEP 12, 2012

Chocolate, licorice and roasted barley are strong in both the aroma and flavour. Opaque black body is topped by a creamy, fine bubbled, tan head that lasts well and coats the glass (nitro). Reminiscent of Beamish in it’s sweetness. Creamy smooth mouthfeel with moderate but soft textured carbonation. Sampled on tap at the brewpub. Nekronos (4174) - Xalapa, MEXICO - APR 20, 2006
Veyr nice stout, the dry type, I liked it, but I prefeer still more the other kind of stouts. But this one is very good, I like the guys from Messrs. because of their beers, they never dissapint me. culchiem (4022) - Berlin, GERMANY - JAN 27, 2011
Draught at the pub. Black with a thin off white head. Aroma is sweet with chocolate notes. Flavour is slightly sweet with roast and chocolate, plently of malt in the background. Not as creamy as some Irish stouts rickgordon (3878) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 1, 2003
Black with a smooth white head. Somewhat light although it hosts such delicat flavors as licorice and coffee. GeneralGao (3614) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - JUL 4, 2005
Had it on tap at the brewpub in Dublin. Basically Messrs version of an Irish stout. Black as night with a dense, off-white head. Nitrogenated. Very rasty flavor with a hint of hoppiness. smooth finish. Solid brew, similar to Guiness.
