19/05/06 Messrs. Maguire Dublin. Black body with a decent light tan head. Vegemite and yeast. This was the best of the lot that I tried. Nice grainy bitterness with a medium body. garthicus (2933) - Dublin, IRELAND - NOV 20, 2007
On tap - Messrs, Poured a glorious brown and quickly transformed into a ruby black pint. Mild chocolate aroma, smooth malt flavour with hints of chocolate and spice with a short finish,, enjoyable Tranquillity (2413) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 4, 2011
Draught at the brewpub in Dublin, under the name ’Stout’. I assume it’s this one. Black body, thick brown head. Sweet aroma, raisins and malt. Taste a bit weak and has quite a boring finish. Nothing wrong here, but nothing special. Imaena (2327) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - MAY 6, 2013
Draught @ Messrs. This is their best brew. A nice simple stout that is not exceptional but very sessionable. boto (2247) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - MAR 6, 2004
Draught at the Brewpub: Pretty typical, almost black in color with a tan cascading head. Chocolate and roastiness to the nose. The taste is something else. I like chocolate stouts, but this was about all that you tasted, and there was no balance. The Guinness that they also pour in the pub is far superior to this brew. This was pretty much a standard classic Irish stout, except for the chocolate. Just a bit too much of it!

This was the best of the beers tasted. The pub is well worth visiting on the Liffy near the O’Connell Bridge. The stout poured pitch black with tan head that laced down the glass. You detect the aroma of coffee and smoke at the beginning. The stout was a medium body beverage with soft carbonation. The stout had a dry finish with rich coffee aftertaste. dynamiteninja (1866) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 3, 2010

On tap at the brewpub in Dublin. Standard looking stout, opaque dark brown with frothy nitrogen head. Nice and bitter, some roast malts and black coffee. Nothing particularly outstanding, but very solid. Would love to try it again someday. RoyceH (1199) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - APR 30, 2006
Aroms of toasted mailt, some coffee. Maybe a little toffee too, but very watery.
Nice medium light brown head, good lacing, black body. Slight sweet taste, finishing at bitter. Quite full bodied, with a dry aftertaste
