mjs (7348) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 9, 2008
(Draught at the brewpub on 2008-07-02) Copper coloured and clear. Medium-sized dense white head. Metallic malty nose. Medium palate with little carbonation. Metallic taste. Also, malts, some sweetness, lightly hops, some caramell and hint of liquorice. Still not good.

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2007
A Mes rate: Gravicask @ Reading Beer Festival. Dark golden. Fruity nose with maybe some slight diacetyl. Flavour has slight sulphur also but it just about gets away with it. Fruity and hoppy and actually rather good if it wasnt for the bad bits.

larsniclas (7075) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUL 1, 2003
A beatiful beer to look at! Head like a polished floor. A very soft palate, a bit sour and flavour from saffron.

KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 13, 2006
On tap at the brewpub. A rather sweet red ale. Red berries, maybe, but mostly sugar. when I look at the other ratings here, it stuks me that they do not seem to have any consistent quality to their beers. Boring.

berkshirejohn (6499) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 1, 2009
Draught at Maguire’s, Burgh Quay, Dublin. Attractive copper red with a dense cream head; weak fruity aroma; thin body with some sweet malty flavours and a sweet finish. Looks great - but it’s downhill from there on.

mansquito (6435) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 29, 2007
Tap at the bar. Off white creamy head. Brownish red color. Caramel aroma. Complex and smooth taste. Bready finish. Moderately present hops are there. Maltiness enough for all as well. Really well balanced beer in my opinion. My father’s favorite beer in Ireland.

jgb9348 (6250) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - APR 1, 2011
Nice red tint to a copper body. Light malty nose with some alcohol and toffee. Medium-bodied; Strong malt flavour with a good creamy finish. A bit of hops at the end, tucked in with golden syrup too. Overall, a nice beer and my first non stout in the whole of Ireland. I sampled this pint on draught at the MessRS Maguire Bewpub in Central Dublin on 19-February-2009.

DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 21, 2006
Aroma gives me nutty malts, maybe a bit of floural hops. Taste is quite bitter, but with some caramel malts.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 8, 2011
Draft @ brewpub. Rich amber hue, nice color, head is slight. Aroma is tainted by glue and paint thinner. Is oily and buttery throughout. Is undrinkable, so something must have gone wrong.

Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 29, 2006
Pretty decent amber ale. Pours a moslty clear medium amber (lighter in color thatn the porterhouse red) and a light beige head which fades- leaves some lace though. Aroma is nutty, caramel, and herbal/floral hops. Sweet caramel and toffee in the flavor balanced by more floral hops. Nice balance and mouthfeel. Good irish red.
