On tap at the brewpub in Dublin. Poured a reddish brown with the nitrogen foam head. Tastes of some caramel, maybe some toasted almond. A little bit lighter on the hops than I hoped. Surprisingly crisp, because it looked to be creamy.

Draught. Red with a nice lasting white head. Aroma is sweet with some fruit. Smooth mouth feel, with some malt and a hint of nuts in the finish.

Thhis was the second ale tasted at the brewpub on the Liffy. I was able to get a tour of the brewery. It is a very compact brewery with limited space. They do a great job. This ale was a reddish brown in color with a creamy head. The cabonation was soft for this medium body beer. The ale could take more hops, but otherwise a very balanced ale. Smooth finish with no aftertaste.

A Mes rate: Gravicask @ Reading Beer Festival. Dark golden. Fruity nose with maybe some slight diacetyl. Flavour has slight sulphur also but it just about gets away with it. Fruity and hoppy and actually rather good if it wasnt for the bad bits.

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival. Brownish amber, creamy head. Sweet and gently roasty. Medium bodied, somewhatfruity with soft mouthfeel. Salty finish with average bitterness. Pleasant easy drinking beer.

2009-05-15. Dark amber - copper body with a modest beige head. Flavour has an interesting malty profile, tangy, light bitterness throughout, creamy finish with mild malt lingering. (6+) Aroma is mild but pleasant, light malt, sweet caramel touches over slightly drier malt, mild hops. (6+) Average palate is smooth. (3+) Overall impression is Kilkenny-esque but better. Enjoyable but on the mild side. On tap at the brewpub.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of malt and slight hops. Light body with flavors of caramel malt and resiny hops. The finish is short with sweet malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Pint on tap at Messrs on multiple occasions. Going back a bit to remember it but it was creamy with a good white head, quite hoppy with some caramel sweetness. A little chemically which was a slight drawback and would prevent you having a 2nd on a night out.
