3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
330cc bottle from Club de Cervezas. Pours a bright but hazy copper color with a medium white head that diminishes slowly leaving a small film. Aroma is mostly hoppy with spicy, floral and soft fruity notes. Hints of pepper, ginger, fresh cucumber, watermelon, flowers, tiny touches of caramel and traces of grains and honey. This one is tasty. Quite bitter, more than your typical English ESB. Well-integrated, rounded, herbal instead of punchy, astringent bitterness. Slightly herbal and citrusy flavors, but more lemongrass than actual lemons, yet retaining somehow a soft fruity character. Light on the palate, lively carbonation, mild aftertaste. Quite refined, unexpectedly good example of the style. Nice sessionable brew. Maybe just lacking a little something in the aroma, but nice overall.
