Draft at brett fest. Aroma of oak, red fruit and lacto sour. Taste has sweet oak, sugar, cherry and mild tart. Meh, too sweet.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing!
Pours clear reddish brown colour with a huge most good lasting beige head. Aroma of dark malt, red fruits, some wood. Taste of red berries, dark malt, some grapes, too sweet for me...

Thanks to erzengel for sharing! Pours a medium brown with a rich tan head. The smell is toasted malt, dark fruity sour notes. The taste is similar to an oude bruin, rich fruit and mild vinegar sourness. Light in body with average carbonation. Very drinkable!

Erzengel (8768) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - NOV 6, 2016
75cl Zwarte Ruiter, matured 1 year on wood. Sour fresh nose. The beer starts smooth and sourish. Easy to drink, the wood and the great winey sourness is there, very refreshing with not too much sweetness. Red winey hints, caramel and malts in the body, smooth sourness. The aftertaste is woody sour, intense and refreshing, quite deep for that low ABV, nice stuff!

75cl bottle shared at home; as Zwarte Ruiter Mestreechs Aajt. Hazy dark amber with a medium off-white head. Light to medium body with moderate carbonation. Heavy sweetness with medium sour aftertaste. Raisin, sour berries, oak, vinegar and herbs. Quite nice (I expected less).

3.2
Svesse (8601) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 17, 2016
(Draught at Café Briljant, Haarlem, 15 Sep 2016, as "Zwarte Ruiter") Dark reddish brown colour with dense, beige head. Fruity, sourish nose with sour cherries, caramel, raspberries and a touch of balsamic vinegar. Fruity, tart taste with notes of caramel, balsamic vinegar, sour berries and a sweet and sour finish with low bitterness. Light body, with a touch of sweetness. Fresh and tasty oud bruin. Quite nice.

Tap at Gollem Amstelstraat during pubcrawl. Dark but clear chestnut with cream tan head. Sour grapes, vinegar, wood, sugar. Medium sweet and sour. Medium body, malty feel. Grapey feel. Low carbonation. Nice for a sweetened sour.

75cl bottle, limited ed "Zwarte Ruiter". Ruby reddish brown, beige foamy head. Low-medium sour cherry, lightly vinous, Rodenbach-ish herbal, ripe apples, caramel. Good body especially considering the low abv, medium carbonation.
