Meteor pils is a superior qualitu beer and the result of a unique know-how. Made in 1927 by Louis Haag and his son Frdric, its authentic, exclusive recipe is a skilful combination of nole ingredients, particularly hops from the Czech Republic (Saaz) and Alsace (Strisselspalt). Its pale yellow colour is crowded by an abundant, airy head that holds out the promis of great finesse. Particularly light and sparking, it gradually asserts its smooth bitterness before opening up it rich, floral aromas and offering an intense freshness.

Tap at Frenchy in Tallinn. Clear yellow with rather persistent off-white head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour. Wet grains. Wet cardboard hints. Grassy hops rather in the background. Pretty smooth and not unpleasant mouthfeel, but gets stale when the bubbling rests. Perfectly alright! Much better than most Pilsners available around here. Then again, I might not have liked it this much from (the clear green) bottle.

330 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, low white head. Typical Heineken-like aroma of lightstruck hops, notes of newmown grass (and some grass not so newmown). Sharpish and not very pleasant hops in the flavour, metallic finish. Wont buy again.

Fra flaske p Mi2, Cardinal (Asko Rogaland lmesse): klar lys gylden, ok skum. Floral aroma og smak med kokte grnnsaker i frersetet. Say no more.

Shared bottle at Mi2 Extended at Cardinal 06.06.16. Decent aroma of grass at various stages of decay. However, the decency of the aroma is deluding. Taste is unfresh, with boiled vegetables and wet cardboard.

Decent pilsner.
Clear golden color with a fine white head. Mild aroma. Medium body and an average carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Plain pilsner malty and herbal flavor. Been there done that.
[Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Norway]
