COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
« Meteor pils is a superior qualitu beer and the result of a unique know-how. Made in 1927 by Louis Haag and his son Frédéric, its authentic, exclusive recipe is a skilful combination of nole ingredients, particularly hops from the Czech Republic (Saaz) and Alsace (Strisselspalt). Its pale yellow colour is crowded by an abundant, airy head that holds out the promis of great finesse. Particularly light and sparking, it gradually asserts its smooth bitterness before opening up it rich, floral aromas and offering an intense freshness.

Tap @a terrace at Bouzy, poured into a stem lager glass. Clear deep golden, good frothy white head, fairly lasting, good lacing; aroma malts, grain, grass; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grainy, bit dusty; sweetbitter aftertaste, grainy, bit metallic, paper; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; okay pilsner.

AssKicker (592) - Strasbourg, FRANCE - FEB 22, 2017

Draft -- light and accessible, with malt and honey notes. Slightly bitter and very light on the palate.

Kauge (1992) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - NOV 2, 2016
Tap at Frenchy in Tallinn. Clear yellow with rather persistent off-white head. Sweet malty aroma and flavour. Wet grains. Wet cardboard hints. Grassy hops rather in the background. Pretty smooth and not unpleasant mouthfeel, but gets stale when the bubbling rests. Perfectly alright! Much better than most Pilsners available around here. Then again, I might not have liked it this much from (the clear green) bottle.

Pale yellow beer with small white head. Aroma is sweet, metallic and malty. Taste is malty and herbal, little bitterness. Light body.

Sigmund (7766) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 18, 2016
330 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, low white head. Typical Heineken-like aroma of lightstruck hops, notes of newmown grass (and some grass not so newmown). Sharpish and not very pleasant hops in the flavour, metallic finish. Won’t buy again.
