Tap at Hop Leaf. Poured a rusty copper with a small off white head. Aroma was acid with some malts present. The aroma reminded me of blood, not pleasant. Flavor was pretty basic, some malts, a slight caramel flavor. Mediocre at best. JJClark (551) - Roscoe, Illinois, USA - JUN 25, 2009
Bottle from trade with guyinchicago. Thanks Chuck! Pours a light amber color with a medium size off white head. Aroma of caramel malt ,light spice and light nut. Taste is semi sweet and yeasty with a mild hop flavor on the end. holdenn (2116) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 24, 2009
Bottle thanks to 17thfloor for sharing. Pours a clear copper with a white bubbled head. Toffee and toasted malts in the aroma with something off, not sure what. Extremely malt nose though. Creamy toffee malts that become dirty in a bad bad way. There are a few solid components to this beer, but something is really off with this one. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - JUN 21, 2009
Bottle courtesy of msante79 – thanks Mark. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin white head. The nose is caramel malt and earthy hops. The taste pretty much follows suit. Medium bodied. An ok beer. Thanks again Mark!

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2009 Thanks to my girlfriend Molly for buying me a six pack by surprise, she’s so sweet. Pours light golden brown with a small white head. Aroma is very malty caramel and toast, really picking up those Vienna malts. Some subtle hops give it just a hint of spice. Flavor starts a very sweet caramel and lots of toast and a bit nutty. Finishes very smooth with very little hop presence or bitterness. Just a strong creamy malt character. Medium body and a moderate carbonation. Not a bad beer, easy drinking and refreshing. Reminds me a lot of Fat Tire, just a little hoppier. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - MAY 20, 2009
On tap at Hop Leaf, Chicago. Pours a light amber. Light sweet malt flavor & aroma. Not bad but there were too many others great options daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAY 12, 2009
UPDATED: MAY 18, 2009 Bottle from guyinchicago. pours a (shocker)copper color. Very malty on the nose. But along with the malt comes some aluminum foil notes...metallic is what I am trying to say. Flavor is malty, lagery and overall not that great. I am surprised to see the rating as high as it is. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - MAY 10, 2009
Bottle sample from STLWill (Thanks!) Orange/yellow pour with a metallic aroma. Flavor was that of any standard run of the mill lager, but finished a little bitter. MatSciGuy (907) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - MAY 9, 2009
[Bottle] shared by Skyview. Pours a clear deep gold with an effervescent white head. Aroma is slightly richer than the Flywheel, with a touch of caramel, and lots of lager yeast. Flavor is pretty much the same as the nose.
