Love this lager, pretty much has become my goto, and it goes well with plenty of different foods. Cgeib12 (2) - Oshkosh, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 1, 2016 does not count
If you want a beer that pairs well with anything, here it is.
Pours a copper color just like any amber lager.
With a hoppy after-tone.

I don’t get why people didn’t seem to like this... She’s a very attractive clear copper lager with a frothy white two inch head falling quickly to no lacing. The nose is of malty burnt/brown sugar with citrusy undertones of orange peel, or perhaps grapefruit, though the character develops into a more grainy (crystal malty) and toasted aroma. The mouthfeel is initially light and silky, with a carbonated teeth on the middle and finish. She tastes like a twist of orange peel over a distinctly malty backbone: the maltiness comes at the start, until the fizz carries a bitter citrus to the end with a very dry finish. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 27, 2009
Draft at Jerry’s. Orange-amber with modest, white head / Medium body, crisp but with moderate sweet malts and some dryness on the good finish / Flavors of toasted grain, bread, and burnt sugar / Very excited about this new brewery. Slight preference for the initial release, Flywheel, this a tad sugary, but still real good. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 20, 2009
Draft at Kuma’s Corner. It’s good to finally see Metropolitan getting around. I was pretty excited to try another of their lagers and it definitely did not disappoint. Pours a nice copper color, slightly golden. Nose is very clean with light florals from the noble hops, a touch spicy from the Perle. Very bready and malty on the nose as well. On taste, a bit grainy and super clean. Minimal bitterness. Very bready and biscuity tasty. Super drinkable and a great example that rivals Eliot Ness. Excellent.

Excellent beer from an up and coming brewery. Reddish in color with complex flavor and some lasting after taste. Best paired with heavier meals. chillyw144 (2) - - AUG 20, 2012 does not count
Metropolitan makes some great beers. Caramel, citrus, nuts... nice blend/balance of hop & malt. notalush (5883) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - JUL 13, 2013
Thanks to Eugene for sharing - clear gold - frothy lace - lovely nose of honeyed maltiness, grassy and floral hops, bright fruitiness, melon rind - moderately frothy carbonation in the mouth - light, crisp - crackery malts, moderate minerality, floral, medium bitter hops - some clean honey-ish sweetness in the finish - light Vienna toastiness throughout - there is a very mild huskiness on the tail end that is the only drawback - otherwise this is quite a nice lager. glkaiser (1214) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAR 29, 2009
Light amber with small head. Light caramel malts and solid bitterness to finish. Light sweetness, with a nice balance all around. Perfect six-pack beer to grab for a spring bbq. drdisque (860) - Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2010
Beautiful copper color. Caramel flavor with nutty notes and very restrained but noticeable hoppiness. Slightly roasted notes as well. Somewhat dull but pleasing finish.
