The kinetic beauty of Noble hops grabs you by the nose and lets you know: this is German-inspired beer. A mild, bready malt sweetness greets you at the lips, smoothing the crisp hop flavors. Flywheel is meant for bombastic celebrations of singing voices and clamoring mugs. But then, that first contented moment of happy hour is uniquely celebratory as well. Now, where is that liter-toting Frulein anyway?

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2017 I quite enjoyed this, sweeter than I expected. I thought it had a nice clean taste compared to so many lagers of its kind. Great, if you want a beer for warm summer days and dont want to skimp on quality. Serving:Bottle

Pours a bright and very clear light golden color with a finger of white head with good retention. Aroma of sweet malt and cracker with floral hop presence. Taste is slightly sweet, grainy malt with a little minerality and a floral hop presence that becomes slightly spicy and bitter in the aftertaste. Finishes clean with a lingering bitterness and spiciness that doesnt stay around too long. A very nice example of a German Pils that is crisp and refreshing.

Bottled. Pours a light orange color. Has a yeasty taste. Has a weird aftertaste for a lager. Not very good.

Bottle. Slightly hazy gold color with off-white head and some lacing. Grass and straw aromas. Grass upfront with some slight honey notes followed by grapefruit hops and lemon-citrus notes. Mouthfeel is surprisingly chewy. Long, mouthcoating finish that's bitter but refreshingly pleasant. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very good beer. Malty aroma. Likewise flavor with just enough bitterness. Excellent palate. Super easy drinking.

Clear, brilliant gold. Nose of grassy herbal and woody citrus with sweet pilsner malt. Flavor is crisp lager malt with solid woody, herbal citrus bitterness. Lingering bittersweet mix. Minimal diacetyl. This was great. First thought was NG Hometown, but this was better. These ratings are killing me. Solid. Nothing and nowhere to hide in this beer.

Bottle - average size foamy head, hazy pale straw yellow color, typical basic lager aroma and flavor, but on the better side - grass, wheat, corn, earthy hops, pretty smooth finish, ok overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Garbage beer. Super malty and boozy. Not a style I like. Smells malty and pours copper in color with a thin white head. Had at a fund raiser ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Purchased at Bottles and Cans in Chicago, IL; enjoyed at home watching a terrible Bears game. This is a decent lager, mostly yeasty / bready, easy drinking and better than the average lager...nothing special for this one though.
