Bottled. Clear mahogany colour, minimal head. Meaty smoke aroma. Mid sweet with clean mouthfeel and medium body. Meaty beechwood smoke. Low bitterness. Lacking malt depth, but the smoke aroma is near Schlenkerla-like.

Benzai (16569) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - NOV 20, 2014
Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Niels. Clear dark amber color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, smoke but quite moderately, softly bitter, lightly hay. Like a light smoky pilsener. I quite like it.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein sehr dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch angenehm rauchig, malzig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht rauchig, röstmalzig, würzig.

3.7
Erzengel (9355) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 12, 2014

laiti (8508) - Tampere, FINLAND - FEB 6, 2013
50 cl bottle @ Timo A. Rated on 04.04.2011
Aroma is rather nice with smoky notes – feels like smoked salmon or ham. Flavour has roasted and smoky notes with some grain and hints of tar. Very nice moderately smoked beer, feels like a mixture of schwarz‐ and rauchbier.

Bottle from shrubber85. Smoked meat and malt aroma. Brown with a big tan head. Smoked meat and caramel malt flavor, light bitterness in the finish. Not over the top smokey. Light to medium body, slightly carbonated. Very nice.

arkurzynski (2456) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 29, 2011
Bottle courtesy of shrubber85. Really nice looking brown with deep red and amber hues. Moderate smoked malt, bacon, fruity malts, and a hint of vinegar and maple syrup. Sweet and toasted malt and fruit with background smokiness. Light dry finish. Mouthfeel is a bit too creamy. Lingering malt/syrup.

3.5
bierkoning (13607) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - SEP 21, 2011
Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Beechwood and smoked ham in the aroma. Creamy flavor with beechwood, smoked cheese and smoked sausage. Soft and polite rauchbier.
