Bleh... nothing to ever write home about. Its a "gateway beer" to the very definition. Theres some flavor there that might interest people who havent tasted that in beer before... and in a pinch itll work...but its just a bit boring.

Pours with a pretty decent head on it, but quickly goes away, leaving some lacing on the glass....Aroma is mostly of roasted malt and some caramel, but not much... Taste is actually pretty bland, even my first sips with the head werent great. I get more sweet than bitter and maybe slightly salty and dark roastedness...Mouthfeel is thin, maybe watery even. It is very drinkable however....Overall Im disappointed in it. Its not terrible, but its better than most other A-B products.

At least a little flavor here. Not much aroma outside of a light graininess with slight hint of caramel. Slightly malty taste with caramel, but extremely light body. Lots of carbonation. Watery mouthfeel. Better than a macro pale lager, but not much.

Taste is actually kind of reminiscent of a black and tan even more so than a bock or an amber lager. It really does give the illusion of someone making it by taking a yellow macro lager and a darker macro-type beer and mixing them half and half. A little bit of caramel malt and dark roasted malt, but mostly pale malt. Minimal hopping- probably noble hops, but who can tell? Aroma is a bit better than Id expect. In one store, I saw this priced like a macro lager, which is a good bit of variety at that price range. Possibly intended to compete with Yuengling Black and Tans in markets where Yuengling is sold.

Found some old tasting notes, so I figured I should enter this. Poured from a bottle, and not exactly overwhelming with flavor. Nice crisp light flavors, and has a bit of the toastiness you get from darker beers.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a thin off white head that drops slowly with the mildest of lacing. Color is a clear deep amber with no visible streaming carbonation. Aroma: very, very mild. Just a bit of breadiness and slight caramel. Mouthfeel: mostly light, slighty sticky with a dry finish. Flavor: roasty caramel, bread crust, a bit of raisin and cocoa, with mild lingering hop bitterness. Overall: nice, easy drinking beer that should pair well with many foods.

Draft, very thin head. Not much aroma. Lots of cereal flavor. Light caramel malt. Not the best representation of the style, however, it is light in body making it easy to drink.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle.A decent beer by Michelob, most people hate Michelob, I dont mind them. This one has a slight caramel aroma but could use a little more roasted flavor. A pretty basic amberbock.
