body that is dense with soft carbonation like a parfait. bit of chocolate and gravy master flavor that is sweet and with cereal grains. finish lightens on the body and lingering flavor of sweetness and barley. it is good on a hot day and would probably be good in certain situations. philbertk (1873) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 18, 2010

Bottle. Found some old notes. somewhat of a muddy brown in color, next to flat pour. It had somewhat of a roasted coffee aroma. Tasting revealed somewhat of a bitter lager porter mix. I want to say this was the precursor to Amber bock, but this is terrible. No separation between the dark and the light, just an amberish dark brown color. Light and grainy and not quite horrid, but close.
