Sampled at the ’Butter’s Last Supper’ tasting. 2007 artillery shell bottle. Pours a bright ruby red with ring of whit head. Nose of sweet untoasted cherry Poptart™, while unique, isn’t all that offensive. Flavor is cherry cough syrup, artificial and bready. Not as bad as I was expecting. Bottle. Pours a ruby body with an off white head. Sweet cherry and toasted malt with a light sweet fructose and chocolate. Thin with a moderate warming and a dank malt note. Eh. rocbyter (2134) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - SEP 1, 2009
Yeasty aroma with lots of cherries. Clear dark orange color with a small white head. Sweet with a good cherry flavor but bitter in the beginning. Light palate. thedm (6273) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - AUG 29, 2009
This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy fine to medium sized tan colored bubbles that were mostly diminishing and left behind a slightly hazy softly carbonated light orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was malty and cherry. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish vinous aftertaste. The good flavor contained notes of dark deep cherry and was vinous. punkrkr27 (903) - Berkley, Michigan, USA - APR 6, 2009
Reddish-copper pour with a short-lived, off-white head. Sweet, syrupy, cherry aroma with hints of caramel, cinnamon, and diacetyl. Cloyingly sweet cherry cough syrup flavor with some more diacetyl. Medium-thin body with lots of carbonation. This comes in a gift set along with the 2007 Chocolate Lager and 2 very nice tulip glasses which are perfect for beer tasting.

’07 Bottle: Pretty much what I expected...cherry tootsie pop flavor and aroma...actually more tasty than what I thought going in. OD40oz (774) - Box Elder, South Dakota, USA - JAN 8, 2009
2007 batch. I was surpised by the twist off cap. Pours a reddish amber color with a small, short lived, offwhite head. You can smell and taste the cherry in this one almost like a chocolate covered cherry. This was a lot better than I thought it would be and I got it for $3.50 at a local gas station and figured what the hell its another rating. The taste of this was too overbearing so I said to hell with it and poured the sonuvabitch out. kiefdog (1826) - Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 18, 2008
24oz bottle from Liquor Depot (Tampa, FL). Pours a hazy red brown color with a one finger white tan head that settles rapidly. Aroma is marachino cherries with maple syrup, honey and candy sugar notes. Flavor is like drinking cherry juice with light carbonation. Some notes of chocolate, honey, and dark sugars. Syrupy mouthfeel with a slightly tart finish. I agree with dwyerpg that this looks and tastes more like an ale than a lager. dwyerpg (6282) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - NOV 28, 2008
Wow, this smells like Cherry Twizzler. This is strange. Has some cherry in the flavor as well; somehow seems more like an ale than a lager. Odd. daknole (11049) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - NOV 26, 2008
2007. Reddish pour. Smelled like some weird cherry candy and tasted quite the same. The sweetness doesn’t seem to meld with the type of malts and few hops that are used. Odd beer.
