Bottled. Nut brown with brief head. Vague caramell aroma. Sweet short toffee flavour. Light bodied, smooth and without bitterness. Unfortunately one of the better beers on Taiwanese beer shelves.

Bottle. Poured a deep amber with an average white head that diminished quickly. Sweet roasted aroma. Light to medium body with a thin texture. Smooth malty flavor with a short finish. Drinkable for a macro. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - APR 9, 2002
This was it -- the one that started me off on beer drinking. I thought beer was awful, because i had tried the 'king of beers,' and that was a joke. then, in 1986, the fall of my sophomore year, i found mick dark. sure it's lousy compared to what i love now, but it was something i could drink, and even enjoy then. slowrunner77 (12455) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 18, 2014
"better than the standard Michelob of course, but not worth your money anyway. if they’re going to market micro styles and charge us accordingly, let’s stick to the actual microbreweries."

UPDATED: APR 24, 2007 This was the one of the few choices for dark lagers 15 years ago. Seem nice and strong back then but now there are many other better choices. LIght molasses malt aroma. Dark brown color. Light brown sugar malt flavor. Really not bad for a BMC product. Above average American macrobrew.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2009 What did they do, take a regular Mich and add some dirty socks to it? NASTY. Malty and grainy. Not worth the effort. seriously. DocLock (10836) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 9, 2004
To me, this tastes like a slightly maltier version of Michelob. Which isn't saying much, but at least some of my scores got out of the cellar. solidfunk (9200) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - AUG 29, 2011
I’m rating this on memory because I don’t really want to have to drink another one. I’m gonna second the dirty water comment below - I wouldn’t go so far as to consider it a proper dark, just crappy lager with food colouring. ben4321 (6607) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUL 1, 2009
I have almost no recollection of this one at all, but I do have an old rating siting here, so I’ll add it to RB...

Old Rating: Tastes like Michelob but a different color
Pours a nice medium amber color. Nice roast aromas. Flavor has a roast almost burnt grain flavor to it.
