UPDATED: JUN 13, 2004 What a surprise! I don't usually like A-B products and I am usually not crazy about wheat beers, but this was good. Nice wheat/hop flavor. I can't believe this one got so many low scores... maybe because of prejudice against A-B?

Not a class of beer that I enjoy, but I give them credit for trying to do something a bit from the norm. Not bad.

Tastes like spring water. Actually cheaper than bottled water. Alcohol is a plus. On the other hand bottled water is calorie-free. Some weak flavors--sort of like those bottled waters infused with flowers or citrus rind.

MWBF 2002: Cloudy pale and papery aroma. Light clove and banana flavors. A little papery in the finish. OK hefe.

As I work my way through the Michelob family this one is the black sheep. It actually has character and taste. Reminds me more of a West Coast weak pale ale than a wheat. Hoppy, not unpleasant aroma, dry, hoppy flavor with a bitter finish. Appearance is slightly cloudy.

Not bad for an AB brew, but definately not a strong attempt at a hefeweizen. Slightly floral scent and taste with a dry finish.

Hmm... Not impressive at all. Very weak in flavor. Kind of bitter aftertaste. Not worth the money.

This is not a good example of a German wheat beer. Another example of AB trying to claw their way into the pockets of people with good taste. Stick to the real thing if you want a hefe-weizen, youll be glad you did!
