UPDATED: APR 15, 2004 Definitely a jewel in the michelob christmas gift pack. Hefeweizens are the best. Would definitely buy this again. GrainBeltGuzzler (249) - Goodhue, Minnesota, USA - NOV 14, 2003
I never thought I would ever rate a mic product this high, not the best anything I have had, but Considering who brewed it I have to give it some credit Hoser (387) - Cowtown, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 7, 2007
I thought this was a decent kristall hefe with allot of the usual characters in a German wheat beer. Page 314 of Michael Jackson’s Great Beer Guide and 165 of his Classic Brews to go.

While the hops are a tad too much for the style, obscuring any of the typical hefeweizen spicy/fruity notes, it’s still a pretty decent brew, and at the price is a mainstay at my barbecues. A great deal closer to the style on the label than their so-called ’Amber Bock.’ Aurelius (5332) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - APR 26, 2002
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2006 A good summer beer, but without a whole lot of wheat character. I agree with the rater below, and the label, that this could take a shot of lemon juice. Decent flavor with some clean bittering. Doesn’t cling to the back of the palate and make you want to spit, like regular Michelob. Surprisingly not bad for a macrobrewer’s beer. Looked like a very nice hefe, great frothy head. Nice fruity nose and a decent taste. Slightly sour, but overall not bad. BruceLeroy (111) - North Dakota, USA - APR 20, 2002
I love this beer! Absolutely great for a cheap macro. This is my favorite American macrobrew. I believe it is underated. Michelob’s best product! k2 (146) - USA - JUL 20, 2002
Pretty light for a wheat beer. It was made not to offend anyone.
