Introduced in 1978 as the country's first super-premium light beer. Brewed with a high percentage of two-row barley malt and all imported hops to make this Anheuser-Busch's most flavorful light beer

May be the best light beer in the world in my opinion or at least the best Ive ever tried. Ive been drinking this for years and never got around to rating it. Goes down like a light beer should and very refreshing with more substance & taste than other light beers. Excellent pizza beer or with salt & vinegar potato chips.

What can a guy say about Michelob Light? Its a light yellow colored, white foam capped, pale lager that has been mass produced for 40 years. They were big on marketing to golf when I worked in business, probably still are. Ive had a few more of these over the years than I care to admit. Its easy drinking and non-offensive, on par with most of the macros, maybe a little better than most.

Cut and paste all these mass produced beers would have a hard time telling any of them apart

Bottle in the old dining room, at table, just now.
Pours a pale golden, perfectly clear with a small head.

The aroma is mostly sweet malt and dough. Some mild hops are there but its not much one to sniff on, reminds me of the all to ubiquitous over sweet aroma from many of Europes most crappy pilsners.

I like the flavor fine enough, its got a bit of that sweet breakfast cereal malt flavor I hate, but the herbal hop varietals balance it fine enough. Its reasonably clean and lightly bitter with a medium level of sweetness. Mild on citrus fruit & "zippy" enough.
Id say this qualifies as a reasonably strong entry into the world of American light beer.

Originally rated on 9/16/08. Standard light beer not to bad not to good. Average apperance, aroma, flavor and mouthfeel of any light beer. Good thing about it is that its not offensive in anyway

Backlog. Lighter version of the original. Too sweet and watery. Cardboard and light corn. No thanks.

1/23/16 Chicago (12 oz bottle poured into tall glass). Very pale clear yellow pour, mild carbonation and head with decent lacing. Faint malt and corn aroma and taste. Somewhat sweet taste, mild hops. Very smooth going down, thin texture with clean taste. I liked their prior offering from decades past much better.

Twelve ounce bottle from The Party Source, tasted on November 27, 2015. Yellow color, cheap pale lager aroma with a weird perfume-like smell I have encountered in a lot of cheap lagers, light adjunct /sour taste. I will never try Michelob Ultra but whats depressing is that this crap and regular Michelob are probably better.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2016 A very good lager, the hops are very much there but are not overly abundant.I like the maltiness too, perfecto.

Bottled, canned common, this particular beer rose to popularity in the late 70s with the claim of it being a light beer. Poured into a glass a light golden watery color with a large bubbly head that vanishes in under 15 seconds, smells lightly of hops in a tea in the sun all day way. Taste is almost nonexistent with the subtle dash of a bad tea taste. Goes down light with a somewhat bitter finish. Maybe a subtle hint of lemon. Although the rating I give is horrible, the truth is that this beer fits its market. Its marketed as a refreshing, light beer and you certainly get what you pay for.
