Michelob Pale Ale is a classic English-style pale ale brewed with classic noble aroma hop varieties grown in the Northwestern United States and Europe, as well as two-row and caramel barley malts. With a dark-gold color, this beer has a spicy, hoppy character. A pale ale pairs well with full-flavored meats, like steak. This beer is best enjoyed in a tall, fluted pilsner glass.

12oz bottle from mystery bottom fridge drawer. Nose is toast and grass. Sip adds butter. EPA but weak. From a fairly blind taste I got the style right !!!

This came from the sampler craft case. It poured a decent orangeish gold body with average carbonation and a thin head. On the aroma end i gave it a 7 even thaough the floral and citrus notes were faint, they were still o.k. Flavor was a little off it seemed there was more of a malt presence than hop, but it was alright. Mouthfeel was o.k. and it had a decent aftertaste. It is a slightly above average beer and probably the best out of that case. Originally rated on 11/28/08.

Has a redish tint for a pale ale. Sort of sweet when you first sip it, but the the dry-hopped process gives it the extra hoppy bitter flavor. Has a clear appearance, with slight carbonation. I would buy it again for the price. Actually, I already did buy it again, so thatll make me repeat consumer.

It produces a thin white head that has fades to small ring on top, which still makes some nice lace rings on the glass. The aroma is a pleasant mix of mild citrus hops and sweet malty grain. Its flavor is very similar to the aroma. There is a simple bready malt and light grain flavor with a well-balanced citrus hop flavor that also adds pleasant bitterness and very mild fruity/estery notes. It finishes fairly crisp and clean with a some light hop bitterness just hanging on. The texture light and easy drinking with a light to medium body and nice carbonation. Over all it displays a good balance of malt and hops with a very drinkable body and texture

A somewhat dated 12 oz bottle from the back fo the refrigerator, but the review is tempered by memory from fresher bottles. Look: surprisingly good, with a clear, deep amber body covered by a rather creamy looking, bone-colored head. Aroma: earthy hops are stronger than the malt base Flavor: again earthy hops over a sweet and light roast malt base but tainted with some metallic tones and hints of corn. Feel: Medium body with a very good carbonation level. O: given a fresh bottle, not bad; even roughly average.

12oz bottle. Drank from the bottle at a family BBQ. Not much aroma, maybe some hint of caramel and citrus hops. Taste is really malty up front, some hint of caramel, finish was vegetal and vinous. Edit: So looks like this beer is retired and Im not sure for how long, but looks as though someone must have cleared out their fridge of some old ass beer. Looks like it hasnt been brewed for about a year. It had a weird vinous taste but I chalked it up to it being a Michelob beer. Anyway not sure what this beer would have tasted like in its prime, but sure sucked aged!

March 2010. From bottle. This is more pale than its ale. Orange/amber color with a white head. Some citrus on the nose, but everything is just weak and watered down.

Bottle. Pours amber with a small, white head. Aroma of light caramel malts and a touch of citrusy hops. Flavor is a balance of light caramel malt and some citrusy hops. Surprisingly decent.

Tasted bottle from mix pack into standard pint glass. Clear, pale golden color with medium off-white foam. Aromas of faint, oxidized hops aroma, a hint of grain. Flavors were weak as well: just a bit of bread, caramelized brown sugar, hops bitterness. Fermentation wasnt as clean as lager, but not as much fruit and body as you want from an ale either. The brewers make a point of distinguishing it as an English Pale Ale, as opposed to the more aggressive American Pale Ale style, but this is a weak and watered-down interpretation no matter what.
