Pours a light amber color with a short lived soapy white head. The aroma is of a rather light malt with a slight skunky sent to it.The flavor was of a sour malt taste. The body was thin with a funky aftertaste.Overall not a good beer.

From bottle. Pours a clear light brown color. The taste is mostly water with a hint of malts. I suppose if you are watching your calories this could be a good choice, but if thatís the case just give me a whiskey straight up.

Pours clear, slightly reddish dark amber. Small, off-white head. Scent is a little caramel, malt. Taste is watery malt......actually a little nut flavour....somehow. Very watery and flat. Incredibly weak.....

Iím honestly going to cut and paste what I wrote as a review for the original ultra. Sorry, but this is honestly the same thing as the regular ultra but with some caramel coloring. Here you go: "Nothing special about this one (should I have thought differently?). Pale golden color. Watered down AB aroma. Taste is pretty much the same. One less beer to rate." - Rob H

Wet, sweaty sock aroma. Pours a very clear, very, very, very light mahogany color with white head. Taste is water with some (very little) caramel malts. Palate is thin, and that is very kind. Why didnít I choose the Diet Coke, instead? Overall, I drank this after 2 Hopslam. Just wanted to see how bad it really was as it was left by some guests. Wow! Really, really bad beer, if you want to call it that. Just really, really bad. But I will finish, as I am a trooper!

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear amber with a thin ring of white head. Aroma of watered-down malts, mostly caramel. Taste very lightly bitter. A thin hint of malt. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and no finish. Overall, itís pretty bad...but Iíve had worse.

Great beer if youíre stuck on a low carb diet. Was even better on draft but is longer available. Beautiful color, smooth taste with malty back end. Cheers.

I believe that the reason Michelob Amber Ultra, has been rated so low, is that people mistake it with its over the top cousin, Michelob Ultra. There could not be two more different beers in the "domestic light beer universe"! Iíve read some member comments and they have to be talking about MU. MU...should be PU. MAU is absolutely the best domestic light beer there is. I will have to give a shout out to Sam Adams light, in respectable second place, in my book. More rant about MU, on its page!
