Saw this in a light beer "shootout", in a another mag. It won over Sam Adams, Becks, Amstel, and Heinie light. So, figured Iíd give it a shot.
Poured from bottle, light amber, average head.
Aroma: Not much, typical macro grainy.
Taste: Was ready to bolt away from it, but, actually kinda liked it. Like a light bock beer. Almost. Macro-grains were detected, and even a bit of a toasted malt. Left my mouth dry, but, not offensive.
Almost a little confused when I took notes for the review. I kinda liked it, but kinda didnít like it..if thats possible. Might try it this summer, out on a lawnchair, in the sun.
Been on a low carb diet and having this beer as an option has been a lifesaver. This is better that the regular Ultra, which is not saying much.
Pours with very little foam, almost no aroma and an amber color. Taste is just not there, itís thin, carbonated but oh man!, Iím in beer heaven.
This beer has made me stick to my diet and make it more tolerable. rondphoto (4383) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - APR 11, 2017
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Dull aroma of sweet caramel. Clear medium-dark amber with lots of rising bubbles, off-white head that quickly drops to a thin rim, a few swirls of lace. Taste is thin caramel with just a whiff of malt, plenty of carbonation, and then slightly bitter, but moving back to sweet caramel. Fine if you want to drink and not have alcohol or carbs, but sorely lacking against anything one would consider a "real" brew. Manm1040 (1) - North Carolina, USA - MAR 8, 2017 does not count
Great favorite everyday beer. Lite on calories but needs higher alcohol content so you dont end up drinking more bottles just to get a buzz on. Kleg (229) - The Beach, Florida, USA - DEC 18, 2016
Clear light gold pour with a small white head and poor retention. No lacing. Light body and very carbonated. Tastes like soda water with a very light caramel flavor. Very watery but better than regular Ultra. BeerRenter76 (1007) - Texas, USA - MAR 15, 2016
Originally rated on 5/28/08. Another reminder of why i dont buy light beer. it looked promising enough with a nice looking amber body, but there wasnt really any aroma to speak of, and no taste either. However it wasnt as bad as other light beers

Please keep in mind that this Michelod Ultra AMBER is an ultra light beer such as Bush light, Miller lite, Miller 64, Natural light and also itís sibling Michelob Ultra. This beer has only 95 calories and only 3.2 carbs, great if youíre diabetic or just watching carbs and want to enjoy a good tasting every now and then. As far as I am concerned it tastes far superior than any of the other beers I mentioned before and most other beers in itís category. The only other beer that I would consider on par on taste is Sam Adams light but it also has more calories and carbs. So if youíre looking for a light beer with some flavor give the Ultra Amber a try itís a great beer MarineOBeer (45) - - OCT 7, 2015
Very little Amber taste. Still a very light watery beer.

bottled - drinkable for what it is. A good beer for an all-nighter or a party. Also a good alternative to Miller Lite and it has more flavor than regular Michelob Ultra. Jabah (474) - Winter Park, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2015
A light amber beer. Sort of like the regular Michelob Ultra with a touch of caramel for sweetness. Still a little bitter though. Not the smoothest amber out there. Probably wonít be getting this again but glad I had the opportunity to try. Would rather have a regular Michelob Ultra or and Amber Bock instead. ronaldtheriot (1919) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JAN 1, 2015
Michelob Ultra Amber has a medium, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, amber appearance, and a few lacing streaks left behind on the glass. The aroma is weak, but mild, sweet roastiness and faint grain can be detected. Taste is also thin, but generalized grain, a ghost of caramel, and the ever so slightest breath of hop bitterness is present. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Michelob Ultra Amber finishes crisp, clean, and refreshing. Itís pretty dull. RJT
