UPDATED: MAR 14, 2007 Not to be confused with Michelob light, this beer has a little more content and taste. It was a pleasant surprise. Not very easy to find, though, but definitely worth a try if you’re in the mood for a change. -------FINALLY A RE-RATE-------03/14/ Bottled on 01/11/07. Cidery, grainy, yeasty, lightly banana yeasty, estery sourish nose. No hops. Transparent golden yellow body with a fizzy, artificial white head. Doughy, bready, lightly sweet maltiness to start. Becomes kind of milky in the middle. Miniscule light bitter grassy hops to finish with some fusels in there, too. Eh, it’s ok, but certainly not worth the 5/3/8/3/13 that I originally gave it. Score is representative of most recent (and mature) rating.

OK, this is probably the best in the Anheuser-Busch stable of beers, but that's not saying much. Let me find a kind word...'smooth.' Some semblance of malt in the body but only the faintest hint of hops. Not bad for the style but since it commands a higher than average price I have to give it points off. The fact is that this beer is no better and probably not as good as Old Milwaukee, yet it costs a lot more. So once again, don't waste your money on the Michelob name. It always bugs me that so many people think Michelob offers them some sort of prestige to their friends at the country club. Get real. There's nothing any more special about this beer than any other golden American lager.

Anhs_Busch makes slight variations on the exact same beer.. And just gives them different names. No difference between Bud, Busch, and Michelob
