3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A nice aroma of cereal, corn and grass. I’m not a big lager fan but this smelled good. Poured a very pale yellow, very clear, with a nice foamy head that lasted a long time. Left nice lacing. A flavor of sweet malt and strong bitter hops. Medium body, slightly heavier than medium body, lively carbonation with a long bitter finish. Served at 40 degrees in a stein. Not bad for a lager. A good beer by AB. I’m more of a stout and porter fan, but if I were to drink a lager I would choose this one if no micros available. One of the better macros.
Light and unappealing pale lager. Medium bodied and watery. Light caramel at the end. hpark4 () - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JAN 6, 2018
I just wish I could still find this classic. A very well balanced beer. I used to love the bottles too -- but it's a rare beer these days. nohopspleez (91) - Georgia, USA - NOV 5, 2017
wow, what a disappointment. I used to drink Mic all the time. Wonderful. The unique bottle was great. Now, everything, even the bottle, is different and not so good.
I realize today's "business geniuses" sell everyone on the "change is good and more change more often is better" song. Ummmmmmmmmm..... no.
If you are changing all the time, how do you zero in on the good or great???
You cant. Seems like plain old water has done pretty well for a few 1,000 years. Maybe someone made a mistake??? Nope. INBEV needs to wake up and stop all the changes.
Get to good and slow down. Determine how to get to great, if you can. Stop all the dumb changes for changes sake. bubblite (5) - - OCT 16, 2017 does not count

5/8/17 (Las Vegas, NV). 12 oz bottle, no pour, purchased at Casino Royale, the best $1 beer special on The Las Vegas Strip! Long standing special, Casino Royale is a great center strip casino to pop in for a bottle or two of Michelob. Clear blond, mild hops and malt aroma. Mild taste of malt and hops. Solid carbonation and mouth feel. Overall OK offering and hope the $1 bottles continue at Casino Royale for another 25 years! gripweed57 (2979) - Hamilton Square, New Jersey, USA - MAY 18, 2017
From old tasting notes. Brilliant gold color with a bubbly white head. Faintly sweet fruity malt aroma. Light semisweet malt flavor upfront. Thin watery middle. Light dry hop finish. Ronritter (875) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - DEC 21, 2016

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, off white head, over a clear yellow (SRM 3) body......nose is mild malts, light hops spice.....taste is mildly sweet with hint of pear, apple, mild hop spices, finishing with hints of bitterness.....mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. This meets this insipid, dull, uninteresting style quite well. It is perfect for a hot day in the desert, but awful for anything else. BJCP 7/3/14/4/6 BeerRenter76 (1055) - Texas, USA - JUL 15, 2016
Originally rated on 1/28/10. Aroma of grass, malt and and some hops. A golden yellow body, not much carbonation, head or lace. Standard lager taste, overall not much going on at all.
