Light gold pour with little white head. Super sweet ester aroma with a sour, grainy quality. Sour, grainy flavor upfront with a cloying sweet middle and a big lingering bubblegum-clove finish. Sticky medium body with lots of carbonation and a bit astringent. aulectic (16) - Grand Ledge, Michigan, USA - DEC 6, 2008
On tap at MBC. This beer is a little too hoppy in the middle for some reason. Very sweet and nice finish. Gave me a pulsating killer headache for some reason...weird... walleye (1099) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - JAN 30, 2005

Out of the bottle, this beer poured a golden amber color with a white head. The aroma is primarily yeasty, initially a fruity bock like yeast aroma then spicey, with some bready malt aroma as it warmed. The flavor is wine like, clean with little bitterness or hops. The finish is all warming alcohol. This is one of the easiest drinking tripels out there. MajorGlory4 (5) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - NOV 24, 2003 does not count
This was not quite the tripel flavor I expected @ first sip, but it got much more complex after it hit the back of my tongue, and I realized this had a superb flavor, and is a must try!

The MBC taproom brought us an unlabeld bottle of this since it was off the taps. Light in color, almost like a plain ol' beer, but taste is a whole nother matter. A good fluffy tan head comes with the pour. Blending of flavors that I can't begin to sort out, just impressions of cherry, kind of a porter note, and a buttery smoothness. I got the bright idea to try and make a black & tan using this and a Russian Imperial Stout, but had to forego that impulse for now. Dougal (130) - Escondido, California, USA - MAR 12, 2003
Great golden color with a seafoam colored head. The nose comes alive with indications of cherries and apples. Citrusy in the mouth and very yeasty. Tasted like a meal handed down by the beer gods. The bottle I had was labeled the Triple Lindy and it gives Rodney Dangerfield every bit of respect that he deserves. daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2003
Light clear golden color, maybe expecting a bit of cloudiness, oh well. Banana and yeast in the nose. Sweet malty and more banana in the body. Hints of yeast and finishing with an alcohol bite and a touch of hops. The is a complex beer, but not coming together that well. I’ve never tasted banana in a tripel, other tasters beside me at the brewery also noted this and also noted that the brewer said he didn’t include any wheat in the recipe. Finishes rather sweet and is quite strong, but like i said already, doesn’t really come together that well. softale (188) - Michigan, USA - OCT 5, 2002
Not a bad stab at a Belgian style tripel. Fruity, spicy and sweet. A little too sweet IMO. Had this one on tap at the brewery. tourette (225) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 10, 2002
There is a big spicy nose on this beer. The taste is of candy, spices, malt, and pepper. The candy sweet is a little too much for my tastes, but fairly standard for a belgian. The flavor balance seems a bit off, and its maybe a bit thin. But other than that its pretty solid. I’ve had worse Belgians from Belgium. heh Give it a try if you are ever at the brewery.
