Found this one at the Lundeen’s in Sycamore, Illinois. Cloudy, reddish-orange pour with a thick white head, dissipating to a nice lacing. Nice and piney nose, with hints of dried fruits and grapefruit peel. Very bitter, but nuanced with a nice spiceyness that is unusual in many recent hop bombs. Clean, strong finish. I recommend this beer. gnoff (10713) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAR 16, 2008

Slight shady cherry wood color, tan to yellow head. Fruity, hoppy, sweet scent. Sweet, milky, hoppy, fruity taste. Nice after bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, high bitterness.
From Tap, in Growler from MBC. Poured a nice, rich, deep golden and a white medium head. Palate was high in hops, nice bitter crisp after taste. Highly enjoyable. Travlr (25496) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 26, 2011
Very tasty on draft at DTW, lots of grass aromas and pine flavor. A greatbreak between flights. Brentv (680) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 31, 2013
On tap at Detroit airport Online Cafe. Golden pour, white head. Insane amounts of lacing on the glass. Citrus aroma, nicely hopped, moderate malty sweetness balanced toward bitter but not too far.

Bottle - Large white frothy head. Good lacing. Hazy carmal unfiltered appearance. Excellent hoppy woodsy taste. Good mouthfeel with a dry finish. Very refreshing. Overall a tremendous brew. Very similar in flavor, etc to the Bells Two Hearted IPA. Both are excellent. Look forward to drinking more of this one. KAggie97 (3529) - Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA - JUL 11, 2008

I musta been on crack when I rated this before. Nice pour of thick cheddar orange with a nose of sharp grapefruit with a touch of pine resin. Flavor is sour grapefruit, orange, and a touch of pine. Nice floral finish. Thick, full mouthfeel. Excellent every-man-priced IPA. Definite repeat.
Yes, this beer was made in Michigan. No, this is not Bells. Yes, they receieved a tax break for making a beer with Kid Rock. No, I’m not brining anything back for you f$%ers- 12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured semi transparent when held to a light source, darkened tan with heavy copper and faint ruby hues. Low carbonation, inviting 2 mm head formed, laced very nicely, and stayed around like Granholm- but in a good way this time. Aroma of floral notes, malt, and super sweet Michigan taffy- hey lady! Hits the mouth with a high-medium body, the caramelized malt has held up well, malt takes it to the middle and elevates it with some mild maple syrup sweetness while the hops raise some hell in the background, finish is faintly acidic, smakes you heartly across your face, and makes you take another sip. Wish I could take this off a charter off Grand Haven, Port Huron, or any small lake inland for fishing. Definition of an IPA. Enough said. crhensel (145) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2010
(12 oz bottle into pint glass) Pours a beautiful clear orange with a one finger heat that falls slowly, leaving a beautiful lacing on the glass. Aroma hits you with the hops, as well as a little bit of earthy grass and pine. You know you are in for a treat here! Taste is very bold with the hops as the star, a nice sharp bitterness that plays nicely with a little bit of the pine, giving an added layer of complexity that sets this apart from some other IPAs I have tried. Finishes rather bold, and the taste sticks with you or a while, making for a very pleasant drink. Onslow (1512) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - AUG 10, 2010
The store that set up a big display and promotion for Michigan Beers six weeks ago now has most of the brews deeply discounted and dumped into a cart labelled "discontinued items." Well - get it when you can.
Pour form a 12 oz bottle is cloudy copper with a thinish off white head. Aroma is pungent and good - lots of citrus and pine hops with a carmel under pinning. Flavor is excellent - strong hoppiness and complex hoppiness belies a pretty nice malt backbone. Lively carbonation and stong hops gives this a real tingle as you swallow. A pretty serious IPA that is seriously good.
