Bottle. LIve one. Zoomed out of the bottle. Almost vinous aroma, definitely chocolate. Very dark brown color with a two or three finger fluffy head. Flavor starts very chocolate. Moves on to a bit of malt. Whole wheat bready sort of drink. Finish is pretty well balanced. Not getting particular hop, but it is not really sweet. Sort of a nutty light porter kind of thing. Really good, whatever it is. DSG (14838) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - JUN 21, 2011
Bottle. Beer of the month club. Clear dark brown color with a big beige head, pretty nice lacing. Nice aroma of chocolate, nuts, light roastiness and hints of coffee. Sweetish flavor, a bit roasty, with caramel, nuts, some coffee (slightly green-ish) and notes of toasted bread and chocolate. Medium-bodied. Not bad. This brew pours a clear chestnut brown color with a medium foamy beige head that dissipates slowly to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and nuts. Light body with a sweet roasty character of malt and nuts. SLight hops in the background. The finish is short and leaves and earthy malt aftertaste. Pretty average overall. shrubber85 (11408) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - JUL 18, 2011

Bottle... Clear caramel-colored ale with orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. The malty nose is nutty and buttery with lots of caramel. The flavor shows some oxidation. Walks on the bitter side of balance. Thin, not malty enough for the style. Mild chocolate. Light-bodied and fizzy. Crisp, gently bitter finish. KyotoLefty (10265) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 10, 2011
Draught at the bar and food joint in Detroit airport. Butterscotch and caramel nose, with grains, brown sugar, and some diacetyl too. Roasty grain flavor, caramel, brown sugar, ok bitterness. Decent, but nothing special. drowland (8765) - Georgia, USA - MAY 2, 2011
5/1/11. 12oz bottle from Cavie. Clear reddish brown pour with a big tan head that fades to a centimeter. Tannic, buttery aroma with a malty, nutty flavor with some caramel. Meh.
