One of my favorite local beers. Honest and smooth. Must try it. ABV catches you quicker than you'd expect. Ottscay (7) - Mason, Michigan, USA - AUG 31, 2008 does not count
UPDATED: MAY 10, 2009 Bottle. Medium head, which dissipated after a few moments. Beautiful brown color (especially when held up to the sun light.) This was like drinking a nutty, slice of wheat bread. Very nice flavor and not too overpowering with a nice finish. Rcabbott (4) - - AUG 10, 2011 does not count
A good brown ale. Kind of a nutty taste and aftertaste (as the name indicates) and not too bitter. Good body and carbonation. An easy to drink brown ale.

Sweet, caramelly aroma. Opens sweet and aromatically malty. Middle has more hoppy bite to it. Finishes sweet with a clear alcohol tang. Not a bad beer. Handle (10) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - DEC 15, 2005
Lots of chocolate... I really liked this beer. Delicious maybe a little bit too dark for a nut brown ale. tig397 (64) - dearborn heights, Michigan, USA - MAY 26, 2007

(12oz bottle thanks to Swalden28) Pours clear amber with light bubbles. Nose of honey, nuts and sweet malt. Taste of sweet roasted nuts, and honey. Nice creamy sweet finish. I probably enjoyed this more than I should have, but thought it was a solid example. tourette (225) - Seattle, Washington, USA - AUG 31, 2002
MBC have definately fixed their problems with this beer. I picked up a bottle from the brewery and its quite good. Not incredible, but good. Malty, roasty notes. A little hop bite. Try it again and re-rate!
