Orangeish brown in color with suspended particles in the body along with a tan head. The expected pumpkin aroma along with some cinammon and nutmeg spices. Some pumpkin taste and spices . A typical pumpkin beer, but this one may have lost a bit as it is somewhat old. gearbike (512) - West Bloomfield, Michigan, USA - OCT 2, 2010
Gota try an "odd" Michigan beer when you find it on draft at a bowling alley. Very light golden color. Smells spicy but not pumkiny. And that is how it tastes. Yes it has pumpkin flavor but it is not a heavy “desert” or fruit beer. It is crisp and spicy. All the condiments of pumpkin pie such as nutmeg, cinnamon, and honey but not the real strong pumpkin taste. mattmc1973 (479) - Sterling Heights, Michigan, USA - OCT 10, 2009
12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Amber in color with small off-white head. Aroma is pumpkin pie all the way, with nutmeg, cinnamon, clove. Taste is sweet malt, spices, and pumpkin. Medium mouthfeel, quite smooth. Pretty good! KAF (448) - Coralville, Iowa, USA - OCT 22, 2007
Orangish amber in color. About two fingers of dirty white head that dissipates quickly. Strong smell of spices. Hint of pumkin with a stronger hint of ginger. johnnyoski (445) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - OCT 3, 2011
Bottle. Light amber color with an average off white head. Nice pumpkin pie aroma, with vanilla, nutmeg and cinammon also present. Heavy baking spice flavors. The pumpkin comes through nicely in the finish. More of a semi-creamy texture with soft carbonation. Well worth a try.

Red-tinged gold, little head, minimal lacing. Mild pumpkin and spice aroma. Lighter mouthfeel, crisp carbonation. Drinkable but unremarkable. RoscoeJackson (372) - Michigan, USA - NOV 27, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2010 if you’re looking for a pumpkin beer, this is the one. the best thing is about this beer is the pumpkin pie aroma. i’ve tried a few pumpkin beers and this is the only one i’ll buy.
UPDATE 1 YEAR LATER: pumpkin smell is nice. lots of spice. the beer itself is pretty boring. to me, it gets novelty points for just smelling so pumpkin-y Inveigler (371) - Ferndale, Michigan, USA - MAR 5, 2002
The 2001 year was the best pumpkin that MBC has brewed to date. I thought the pumpkin spices (ginger especially) created an excellent complexity in this beer. Best yet: They have it on sale at the brewery for $10 a case. This deal is fantastic! Kevster (344) - Bradenton, Florida, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Bottle: Pours a clear copper with a medium off-white head. Has a spicy aroma and flavor with a pumpkin pie presence. Mouthfeel is creamy that finishes dry. Pretty good. SB (334) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 29, 2007
Bottle. Medium-bubbly white head. Aroma of spices. Color is orangish. Flavor starts of slow in front, nice malty tones, then your hit with HUGE pumpkin flavors. Spices, cinnamon, nutmeg. My first thought was pumpkin cake with whipped cream. Aftertaste was nicely meshed together, it was a perfect end to a nice fall friday evening
