Bottle shared by DarkElf! Pours a clear orangey color with a medium head and lots of lacing. Super yummy cinammon and nutmeg aroma with warm pumpkin hitting the nose (almost makes me wish for a piece of pumpkin pie). Flavor is absolutely delicious like pumpkin pie with lots of dry cinammon hints. Definitely the best pumpkin ale i’ve ever had! Very smooth and dry. Thanks again Stephen, this beer rocked!! jercraigs (10591) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 8, 2009
2008-12-05. Orange amber body with a modest off-white head. (3+) Pleasant aroma of spice, cinnamon mostly, nutmeg? (8+) Sweet flavour, spice with a solid sweet malt base. Spice is a bit dominating, but tasty. Cinnamon, sweet malt, very light kiss of caramel undertones, melange of spices. Cinnamon is dominant. (8+) Average plus palate. (3+) Could be a bit much in quantity but the rich malt base is like what I remember from last years Pumking. Rather good. Criminally under rated if its always as good as this pint was! But then perhaps it just caught me at the right time. /On tap at Coles, Buffalo Art (3217) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2011
UPDATED: SEP 2, 2013 Disclaimer: I LOVE pumpkin so I may be a little bias. This beer tastes like a liquid pumpkin pie with alcohol. JoeTheYounger (1183) - Lake Arrowhead, California, USA - OCT 28, 2011
Bottle from fear025. Spice and cream aroma. Taste is subtle spice and vanilla with nilla wafers. thetrifecta (29) - Bell’s country, Michigan, USA - NOV 9, 2005
Wow! A slap in the face of fall spices greets the nostrils, pours pretty weak however, mild copper color and light white head. Ohhh but the smell! And the spice taste is really excellent aggressive taste of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg and pumpkin. A very enjoyable lighter seasonal.

Real good. Draft- enjoyed this flavor explosion very much. Overspiced, and in your face, which I enjoy in a good pumpkin beer. Has a flavor very similiar to the ST Pumpking, but I can’t quite place it. enjoyable for sure. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - NOV 21, 2007
Very tasty. Orange color with white head. nice flavor and aroma of pumpkin pie. Nutmeg really stood out. AllAboutStout (605) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - NOV 29, 2008
I had heard good things about this, can’t wait to try it.
Pours a reddish brown color with about half inch of head. Looks nice. Smell is pumpkin, vanilla, some spice and some underlying malt.
Taste is exactly what I’m looking for. Liquid pumpkin pie. Not overly spiced and vegetal like others. Very sweet and dessert like. This is right there with Schlafly’s Pumpkin beer.
Near perfect amount of carbonation. Very easy beer to enjoy. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 30, 2012
A - Pours a cloudy orange-amber color with a big finger of frothy off-white head. The head fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lace.
S - Aroma is a mix of brown sugar and pumpkin pie spices with nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves, with some caramel and bready malts and some pumpkin.
T - Starts off with some sweet caramel malts with some pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices including some nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove. Through the middle, some brown sugar comes through with some more spices and pumpkin flavor. The finish is a mix of spices, bready malts, pumpkin, and some spices.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with spicy and slightly sweet finish.
D - Very drinkable. Really nice pumpkin and with a good balance of pumpkin flavor and spices. Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 14, 2006
Thanks to Darkelf for sharing this one. Pours with an orange amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It smells and tastes like pumpkin pie...nuff said. Medium bodied and smooth with a touch of dryness.
