Bottle. Caramel and thick malt aroma with some luscious toffee and biscuit note, a bit of grapey fruit. Deep dark amber body with a lacing, creamy white head. Taste is big on caramel and bready notes, with toffee and a nice contribution from the pale malts. MMM! Medium body is lastingly crisp and refreshing, with a bit of grapey stickiness. Nice rounding hops for balance, but the taste wears thin and plays too sweet after about six ounces. Other than that, a nice surprise. larsniclas (7297) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUN 22, 2008

355 ml bottle at Haket 23/4. Clear red copper with low off-white head, drops fast. A bit odd aroma, bitter, malty, some strawberries or something. Sweet taste, also with those strawberries. Bitter aftertaste. tedovertu (298) - Apple Valley, Minnesota, USA - JUN 9, 2008

(355 ml bottle at Haket, Göteborg) On April 23, 2008. Clear copper color, tan head. Odd aroma, applesauce, malt, sweet. Sweet, butterscotch, candycorn taste. Spritzy mouthfeel. Low bitterness. Really strange, won’t buy this one again. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - APR 22, 2008
UPDATED: APR 23, 2008 Bottle. Rich malty aroma with a touch of grassy hop. Amber color with a temporary beige head. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Roasted caramel with a minimal amount of grassy hop. Rather more tasty than one might think. They should get a downgrade for describing this as an ale, but generosity is a good thing. Finish is mildly sweet with perhaps a note of tobacco. Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - APR 12, 2008
Bottled at Bishops Arms, Helsingborg. Amber coloured. Malty aroma with some unclean fruitiness and cardboard notes. Sweet malty flavour, again with a touch of cardboard and dust. omhper (25956) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 27, 2008
Bottled at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Clear amber, rich head. Papery buttery malt aroma. Medium sweet with clean rounded mouthfeel. Medium bodied. The low hop rate gives low bitterness and full emphasize on the malt. Nicely balanced, but being a tad sterile and lifeless it seems to more emulate the big south Bavarian brewer’s beers than the really good beers from the region. Goblincat (399) - Petersburg, Michigan, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Amber in color. Little aroma, just a touch of malt. The flavor is a bit of malt, a bit of hops, a bit of brown sugar.
