Draft at the MBC taphouse. Has a good amber color. A mild but pleasant "beery" smell to it. A fine example of what's basically a mild style. hotstuff (5233) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - MAY 20, 2003
This brew poured a quick dissolving head. There was no lacing on the sides of my glass. There was no carbonation seen rising to the top. It had a fruity aroma along with a bitter taste. proc (342) - Dearborn, Michigan, USA - FEB 23, 2003
Pours out to a very attractive amber in the glass. Looks to be filtered as it is quite clear. Aroma is that of bread dough and light yeast. The taste is that of malt with a hint of fruit thrown in for good measure. Not as flavorful as Bell's Amber, but its may be more drinkable. An easy session amber if there ever was one. daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2003
Light hazy bright orange appearance, I guess kind of like a sunset. The aroma was fresh, sweet malt. Light choclatey note in the body, oily with nice hops coming through as fruity and slightly roasty. Finishes with a medium length. A rather nice vienna, altough I think Robertus is the standout but not really comparable. brownalegirl (199) - Fountain, Michigan, USA - NOV 19, 2002
This is a very drinkable amber, good if you're going to have quite a few sitting around and shooting the breeze. Pleasant nuttinees.

Sunset amber is a perfect description of this beer's color. Nose is decent with some malt, caramel and fruity hints. Taste gets a thumbs up from me. It finished with just a little bit of sweetness, but it's easy to drink a few of these. hennes (934) - Fountain, Michigan, USA - MAY 29, 2002
Decent hop presence, actually, but not enough malt for my taste - more of a dark colored pils than a vienna, perhaps, if it weren't also so sweet. P-tor44 (886) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 16, 2001
caramel malt aroma, thin. I gave this one away.............................
