Bottle, Copper amber color. Grassy hops with a little cardboard tinge. The hops are not overpowering. Small beige head that quickly dissipates. Crystal clear with no particles floating. Light watery mouth feel. Nothing special. larsniclas (7075) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUN 22, 2008
Bottled at Beefeater Inn, Gothenburg.
Deep copper with a small, off-white head.
Light and slightly sourish aroma with pretty much toffee.
Soft and smooth palate.
Pretty sweet and malty with toffee. Medium bitterness. Onslow (1496) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JUN 5, 2011
Pour from a 12 oz bottle. Amber brew with off white head. Not much in the aroma dept. Tast is nice - simple malts with a bit of grassy / bitter hops in the finish. Clean and refreshing, good brew. Goblincat (399) - Petersburg, Michigan, USA - MAR 11, 2008
Amber in color. Little aroma, just a touch of malt. The flavor is a bit of malt, a bit of hops, a bit of brown sugar. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - JAN 10, 2009
bottle - Pours light amber with a one finger head. It has a mild, malt aroma. The flavor is lightly toasted caramel malt and a bit of hops. It’s light bodied and while drinkable and not offensive at all, quite unremarkable.

Bottled. Hazy amber in color. Somewhat sour nose. Some bready maltiness as well. Sweet and malty flavors up front. Finish gets a little cloying. Some metallic notes as well. SuIIy (1983) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - NOV 25, 2009
Bottle. Pours a clear light brown color with a small off white head. Head recedes to nothing. Nose Is light caramel with some stale malts. Palate is thin and clean. Flavors of light nuts and stale malt notes. sleestak (226) - Williamston, Michigan, USA - AUG 2, 2008
Pours amber with a thin off-white head that quickly evaporated into the ether. Aroma is heavily malted, caramel, and something unpleasantly medicinal. Taste follows with loads of toffee and a hint of bitter, grassy hops. As with the aroma, there’s something off that corrupts the finish. MBC is a local brewery, so I’m always rooting hard for their success. Unfortunately, even with hometown judging, I can’t rate this higher than simply mediocre. shigadeyo (3739) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUL 25, 2009

11/07/2007: The color of Michigan Brewing Sunset Amber Lager is coppery orange. It has a blasé beer-y aroma and that is slightly floral. The beer has flavors of toasted bread/grain, dough, and is a bit sweet. It is medium-light in body and smooth and mellow in the mouth. Overall this seemed too light for an Amber or Vienna-style beer.
12 fl. oz. bottle. Rating #56 for this beer.
tap @ now defunct brewpub on 16 Nov 2011. amber with small head. rather bland amber lager. not awful, but totally boring.
