Bottle at the Rover. Copper red clear colour, with a creamy brown head. Aroma of sweet, rasins, cocoa, caramel and some coffee too. Flavor was a thin creamy mouth feeling, short finish. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 22, 2008
Bottle at the Rover. (5.2%) A dark, dark brown beer with a small, minimal actually, tan head. Burnt malt, coffee grit and chocolate in the aroma. Dryish. Burnt malt flavor with coffee and chocolate. Long coffee-bitter finish. Dry, full-bodied mouthfeel. The beer is maybe a bit one-dimentional, but especially for a 5.5% ABV beer, it’s really good. 2008 MiBGF: Deep brown with a minimal head. The aroma has notes of smoke, chocolate, walnut, mineral water and prune esters. The taste is twangy and lactic with a nutty and earthy undertones. Has a dry ashy finish. The mouth feel is watery and thin, short finish. Blah. OleR (4804) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 3, 2008

Rover, Göteborg. Low dense tanned head. Very dark brown, a couple of shades from black. Initial aroma of burnt and smoky malts, leading to a scent of sweet dark chocolate. Dryish dark malts in the flavor together with a fine bitterness, roast, and a noticable fruitiness. Light to medium body. Malty, light bitterish end.
Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is all things coffee. Some dark chocolate seep though but coffee takes over. Flavor is burnt coffee with some roasted nuts and chocolate. If this brewer was going for a "coffee-breakfast" stout they were spot on. A good stout for coffee lovers but those not a fan of the morning bean may be turned off by the strong coffee aspects.

Kahki head with a black body. Smells like unfermented wort with some almonds. There is also some coffee. The taste is roasted coffee with almond shells. There is some dark chocolate. Plenty of carbonation is a little distracting. A decent, well roasted stout. joekfsu (138) - Boardman, Ohio, USA - APR 3, 2008
12 oz bottle. Pours black with no chance of seeing light through it and a 2 cm light tan head that is moderately lasting. Aroma of coffee and malt. Initial flavor is light, some coffee and sweet malts. After taste becomes kind of watered down, some coffee and a hint of dry hoppiness. Limited lacing, moderate carbonation, limited alcohol presence, and a very disappointing light body. I looked at this beer and had high hops after the pour, but it was more watery in texture than a stout should be. Would not drink again. tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 28, 2008
pours nice dark almost black with a little tan head, nose is nutty, dry with some sweetness good malts and a touch of coffee. Medium mouthfeel. alexsdad06 (10434) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 26, 2008
12 oz. bottle. Pours black with a HUGE lasting ( i finished the beer two days ago but there is still a head) beige head. The aroma is roasted malts, slightly burnt coffee, and a touch of metal. The flavor is much of the same; roasted malt, burnt coffee, and the metal is more pronounced. Medium bodied. The finish does not sit well on my palate. One and done. The pour is pretty much black. Roasted coffee aroma with a hint of malt. The taste is a coffee, malt, bit of hops, and some bitter on the end. A decent effort.
