Loads of coffee, not much else, dry finish lets the alcohol peek out a bit. Enjoyable if you dig the coffee based stouts, this could certainly qualify. DrnkMcDermott (3099) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - OCT 9, 2003
Draft, at MBC taproom. Has a burnt coffee smell, but in a nice way. This seems to be even darker than a G**nness (sorry, I'm tired of seeing their Ad by Google pop up every time it's mentioned). A reak dark roast coffee smell and taste. Radek Kliber (7359) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUL 13, 2003
Aroma of big coffee, some roasted malts but coffee is first. Dark brown, creamy head. Taste was of fake qualities so much coffee flavour and that’s it, noting to back up all that stuff... Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 11, 2003
Almost black. Roast, coffeeish, toasted bagels. Harsh, astingent. Ugh. DougShoemaker (3147) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 9, 2003
Coffee aroma, dark brown, a small toffee head. Peanuts, coffee and bitter chocolate. Thin, but still an enjoyable drink.

Almost black. Beige head. Roast, coffee, & nutty aroma. Creamy, but thin for style body. Flavour is all bitter, roasted coffee. daboskabouter (1470) - Fergus, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 13, 2003
Dark brown color with a light tan head. Coffee and light chocolate in the nose, but it seems I’ve been there before. Body is spritzy and light chocolate seeps through but finishes quite unpleasant. hennes (934) - Fountain, Michigan, USA - MAY 21, 2002
Typical microbrew thiness, but some decent roasty and bitter flavours. P-tor44 (886) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 15, 2001
Kind or boaring, not much going on for a stout. Better then the nut brown though. Comming from michigan were you have to compete with Bells its hard to make a stout that stands out. I believe only Roffey’s has done it Kaya161 (1139) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 14, 2001
Decent roasted aroma and flavour, but nothing special.
