Clear light amber. Decent off-white head. Sweet malt nose w/ some fruity & hops. Medium bodied, perhaps a little thin. Sweet malt flavour w/ a nice touch of bitterness. Dry Finish. mrkimchee (1414) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 6, 2003
pours clear copper, small off white head. mild but fresh citrusy aroma. mildly toasted malt flavours with a bitter finish that would be nicer if it lasted a little longer. Diogène (1208) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 1, 2006
UPDATED: MAR 4, 2006 341ml bottle. Hazy copper with a mefium white head. Aroma is herbal and earthy with notes of smoke and almonds. Taste is bittersweet at first but bitterness disapear quickly to leave all the place to the sweetness. Notes of corn, nuts, caramel and smoke. Miguel (1181) - Saint-Ours, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 19, 2005
Bouteille au Zaricot. Robe cuivrée aux reflets rouges surmontée d’une belle mousse blanche crémeuse et persistente. Arômes de céréales et de caramel. Houblon de soutien. Pas vraiment de complexité. Bof. Kaya161 (1139) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 19, 2001
A red hemp ale. Nice hemp aroma, light palate and subtle hemp flavour. Not bad.
pnista (1007) - Bloomington, Indiana, USA - JUL 8, 2007
Lightly hazed yellow orange brown with a thin dense white head. Lightly sweet malt, with a bit of dry lightly fruity/herbal hops. Some hemp rope? A bit too much chocolate malt for the rest of the beer? Low carbonation with still a reasonable amount of foaminess, a bit watery. A low flavor profile. Subtle hemp ropey hops. Chocolate malt is substantial. A bit too clean in some ways in terms of yeast metabolites. Lightly fruity. A bit of rope and chocolate malt in the finish. Davhgbrew (948) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUL 5, 2002
Malty, fruity aroma. Slightly watery-suyrupy palate(if that's possible?) Sour, tart finish. Where's the hemp? P-tor44 (886) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JUL 14, 2002
Disclaimer: i'm a little out of it at this point. copper with now head. a little caramel, slight hops, with a nice herbal finish. Although the hemp taste is light, it was a nice escape from the overwhelming smell of people smoking schwag in the park across the street. LadySusan (766) - Ste-Therese, Quebec, CANADA - APR 13, 2006
It has a sweet caramel flavor with an amber color, as for the taste you can feel some bitterness at the start but it goes away. dhurtubise (568) - Hamilton, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 25, 2002
Light, bitter red ale. Copper coloured with white head. Below average head retention. Roasty notes with a bitter front, but a thin middle and finish.
