Enjoyed this on their nice terrace on a hot summer day. Black beer, small head. Lovely roasted aromas with a hint of chocolate. good mouthfeel, and certainly not thin. Certainly worth a visit to the Hoppeschuur. JorisPPattyn (9981) - Ursel, BELGIUM - AUG 11, 2012
Draught Small head, fast receding to beige rim over virtually black beer. Burnt chocolatemalt, dry, stout-like nose; slightly ashy. Liquorice, but with very restrained sweetness. Dry, ashy main flaovur, slowly receding. Medium bodied at least, seems quite well-attenuated. Nice, if unspectacular; but yet another one that drinks away just superbly.
