Bottle, shared by Papsoe. It’s a very pale mead, rather oily. No head or carbonation. A bit alcoholic on the nose, unclean-ish, but with a fine honey aroma. Too alcoholic flavor too, the honey is in the back. Definitely not my mead, too alcoholic, and too low on honey flavors. 100813 Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - OCT 23, 2010

Hazy blond color. The aroma, fruity, delicate, reminds me some fruit distillate from Central Europe; ripe plums, fresh. The body is not too strong, but the distillate honey comes through very well; it has limited sweetness, and balanced alcohol presence; the final is rather short. It’s a good crossover between European Plum liquors (find them in Germanic countries, Switzerland and Slavian countries) and lean Mead. Pleasant and elegant.
Pale white wine-like gold and flat. Powerful, peculiar aroma. Resinous. Very dry and woody with cedar at the end. I don’t like the aroma at first but then it grows on me, especially as the flavors start to explain it. The rhubarb really comes out in the body--permeating it. A smack of plum and honey add balance. Has some apply juiciness and attendant pleasant tartness. Quite a unique flavor profile, and don’t mind it at all. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 22, 2010
Slightly hazy straw. Lots of honey on the nose. Woody, with only hints of plum. Hints of rhubarb tartness too, on the tongue. Alcoholic and dryish. Good - perhaps not the finest Middle Mountain blend however. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAY 16, 2010
