75cl bottle from bu11zeye. Thank you! Corked and caged. Pours a very cloudy amber with a white head. Aromas of sweaty brett and funk. Not sure if this is intentional, but it makes for a very pleasant surprise. Bready and bretty, full of funk and sweat. Light bitterness. Medium malt. Very dry. This tastes nearly like anchorage bitter monk. Very nice bretted IIPA. brokensail (16599) - Dublin, California, USA - JUL 15, 2013
Bottle shared by Andrew. Hazy orange pour with a big white head. Gushed slightly and foams out of the bottle. Smells...bad. Burnt rubber, bandaids, plastic, and smoke. Weird sugar and pear notes, some grass, and a bit of citrus. The flavor is not good, either. Smoke, bandaids, plastic, and rubber. Grassy bitterness, a hint of citrus, sugar, and subtle fruit. 750mL c&c thanks to BMan1113VR. A murky golden pour yields a thick, creamy white head with good retention. Yeast sediment seems to have kicked up from what might have been a gusher pour because the nose here is a full on Brett B infection with bright gamey farm and fresh cedar. Even white grapefruit is prevalent. Actually a pretty fantastic Brett IPA nose. Taste is dusty, spicy cedar, lemon peel, soapy...but the Brett dryness and spice is still powerful. The palate is just too papery and harshly chemical though, probably because the intended DIPA was over the top. But overall, this unintentional Brett DIPA is quite delicious and certainly better than whatever was intended. leftoverpasta (1) - Texas, USA - DEC 20, 2012 does not count
Intetense IPA. Not for the weak. High bitterness is well balanced by sweetness, body, and hop flavor. Only weakness may be hop aroma, which is not as fruity as other double IPAs. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2012
(Draught) Pours a hazy orange body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of herbs, citrus, clay, wet paint, earth, and grass. Flavor of herbs, grass, resin, florals, and baby powder with a dry, bitter finish.
