Magnum bottle: Was lucky enough to get this at Midnight Sun during a special tasting. poured golden with huge creamy off white head. Dry fruit aroma. Taste is hoppy grain, lively fruit, with loads of carbonation. Have passed this up in the past because of the price tag, however I was probably wrong to do so. This beer has held up great and only a few bottles remain. MikeJslc (778) - USA - APR 24, 2013
Hazy yellow, white head. Aroma is pilsner malt with light spicy phenols and fruity notes. Flavor is grainy pilsner malt with some biscuity and dry, cracker-like qualities, light fruits (pear, apple), some earthy spice and some light dusty and leathery notes as well. Very balanced and drinkable. Gription79 (2890) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - DEC 13, 2012
One of the best beers of the night. Big thanks to Mike. There were notes of grain, sweet pils, yeast, fruity. It is nice and way drinking. douglas88 (9174) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 11, 2012
Massive bottle (jeroboam?) thanks to Mike at the Holiday party. What a cool bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. Light fruity nose and some yeast. Come across as a sweet fruity mix of pear and lemon, a light bitter hop, dusty, some light oxidation perhaps, grains in the finish. Good. Sledutah (7518) - Utah, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Bottle shared by Mike at the holiday party, thanks

Appearance: Hazy yellow with a small white head and light lacing
Unfortunately, the rest of my notes for this beer say is "it was nice and tasty" so I guess it was.
Thanks for sharing Mike
Sampled from a magnum bottle we got at the brewery poured into champagne flutes. Hazy golden color with a bit ivory head. Yeasty nose with some spritzy sweetness. Noticable alcohol in the taste, with pear, apple sauce and bready yeast. Sweet malt with a finish of bitter orange. Very lively on the tongue. Really thick tripel. brokensail (16444) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 11, 2012
A slightly cloudy golden orange color with a big white head. A slightly funky aroma to this. Quite yeasty with some hints of spice and bready malt. Maybe some hints of sugar. The flavor is nicely sweet with a definite yeasty quality. Some hints of spice and maybe a bit of oxidation. Medium and medium. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - JAN 1, 2012
750ml bottle. Clearish deep golden with a huge, thick, creamy white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma of sugar, herbal tea, lemon, apple and some earthy yeast. Flavor is sweet honey malt and sugar with some tart cider and yeast hints. Medium body with active carbonation. This is an interesting beer, it seems that some cider and herbal tea qualities have come out in this with age. I’ve had this beer 3-4 times and I would have to say this bottle had the most carbonation, which was a good thing. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - DEC 21, 2011
1.5L. Thanks j&a! Pours a cloudy burnished medium amber with a dense and.creamy, pillowy white head. Lots of ringed sedimentary lace. Big nose of green apples, sweet cream, dust, graham crackers, and.warm hay. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toast, caramel, warm hay, and graham.cracker mid palate. Warming.finish. Nice crisp dryness from the carb. Great beer. SudsMcDuff (8427) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - NOV 11, 2011
