Farm house nose. Caramel and cardomon. Full foamy head, and filling in the mouth also. I would peg this as a saison or bier de "mercury", HA!

Past notes. Colour...golden with a thin ecru head. Nose...whoa! There’s the coriander! This spice takes the lead but there are hints of generalised sweet spice and notes of boiled sugar. Palate...dry, up front and then very slightly sweet with more of the coriander and some hints of citrus. The mid palate is keenly spicy with notes of tangerine and even hints of toffee. The finish is moderately quick with more spice.

Rated on 5-30-2009 at Fort Wayne, IN Tasting (Bottle) This beer pours an off-white very fizzy head, orange brown body, very little visible carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The Aroma is coriander, yeast, candy, and spicy. The Taste is coriander, spicy, yeasty, candy, and semi-acidic. The Palate is tingly and this beer is medium bodied. Overall, I did not care for the taste of this beer as the flavors just did not jive well together.

SHIG (4964) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Bottle: Poured a coppery orange with a huge off white head. Aroma is tobacco spice with loads of fruit. Taste is a bit copper metallic with some fruit and spice. This has held up very well since it was brewed in ’08.

Pours an amber color with a white head. Sweet pale malt aroma with a light fruit character it. Maybe some tart apples and some pears. A nice sweetness of pale malt and apples and pears. There’s a hint of tartness on the back end. Light to medium body with medium to high carbonation.

another planet from nick. tasted 8/14/10 at dak’s. auburn with a teenie white ring for a head. smells of caramel.... and lots of it... malty, molasses and gingerbread also show up. the flavor is the same... all malt all the time. it does manage some dryness on the finish along with some herbal qualities. it is thinnish medium bodied and has no carbonation leaving it feeling completely dead on the tongue.6/3/5/1/12

Bottle pours red driven copper and no head. Aroma is completely malt driven with some light yeast funk. Caramel, brown sugar, roast malt, and that’s pretty much it. Overall body is moderate with moderate sweetness and no bitterness to be found.

daknole (11402) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - AUG 15, 2010
Reddish brown pour. No head. Aroma is malty as hell. Some brown sugar, and syrup. Flavor is fairly flat, brown sugar, applesauce, meh.
