From memory: Overt aromas of expresso and dark chocolate. Rich, thick and a touch sweet. Long finish of expresso. Simple, yet very delicious.

22 ounce bottle from Tavour. Poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a thick black with a khaki head of foam. Strong head retention. Aroma has fig and leather. Coffee complements without distracting from the earthy molasses and leather notes. In the finish, a nice creme brûlée sweetness develops. Big body with a moderate carbonation level. Good stuff. matthewjk (1124) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 24, 2017
This is what well-executed beer tastes like! The rich burn malts, the espresso flavors, the coffee house aromas! It all works! Thanks guys. Sample @ bottlecraft fiulijn (21019) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 20, 2017

Black color, beige compact head. Aroma of liquorice, some roasted malt, light sourness. Good body, dark caramel flavor, moderately sweet, some liquorice.
Balanced, deep, very good.
Dark brown, thin head, lots of chocolate and a nice touch of coffee on the nose. On the palate I think the coffee is a bit harsh and vegetal, with a chocolatey accent. I don’t know, thin coffee overtop a mediocre schwarzbier? I feel like I’m being generous here because I wouldn’t drink this again. beerplace (1960) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 9, 2017
650ml bottle at Alex’s. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasted malt with some chocolate notes. Taste is sweet with coffee, chocolate, some fruity and smokey notes. Good stuff.

0.65l bottle @ Hotel Room. This is a deeper brown looking one only a small quickly islandy dark beige head in the top. Smells really nice. It has a good darker roasted aroma. Acidic hints, cold dark coffee. Nice. It’s really on the sweeter path this. Not cloying but not too far off either. It’s mild oily in the mouth and about average on the carbonation. Sweetish coffee. Like it’s been added brown sugar. Traces of vanilla and cream. Ends with a throat warming flak roasted taste. The first few sips were nice, but now almost finished with the bottle I’m not sure if I would want to drink more of this. 20.06.2015 dwyerpg (6378) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - MAR 8, 2017
Eh. This had a pretty strong coffee flavor, yet wasn’t all that thick. Probably because it’s a porter and not a stout. However, it was quite sweet, much more than I expected or could enjoy. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 14, 2016
A deep dark lager with a thin mocha head. In aroma, bean paste, light coffee grind, musty character, so-so. In mouth, a rather herbaceous chocolate malt, grassy hops , Tim Horton coffee, boring. Bottle at Big Matt’s Eclipse tasting. BuckeyeBoy (8301) - Boise, Idaho, USA - OCT 13, 2016
22oz bottle pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is nice roast malts chocolate some pit fruit. Taste is more of the roast malts coffee notes and a nice milk chocolate.
