UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap at City Beer. Super thick dense dark black pour with a monster deep brown head. Gorgeous beer! Rich cocoa, molasses, and burnt espresso. Monster of a beer. gsteph (325) - knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 13, 2013
Pours black and thick as hell with a foamy, but thin, espresso colored head. Wafts of dark chocolate, smoky coffee, cherries, and cocoa powder. Intense flavor. Red wine tannins, soy, semi-sweet chocolate, dark berries, smoke, and dry cocoa and some peppery bite from the Rye but not much. Very thick and flavorful but soft and smooth at the same time. Finishes semi-sweet, bitter and dry. esquetee (8) - Bend, USA - AUG 12, 2013 does not count
2013 edition in bottle; wonderful chocolatey-coffee aroma; midnight black color with a burnt / rusty dark foam - always a promising sign; roasted espresso, almost bitter cocoa flavor and a finishing taste of wine tannins; some sort of interesting flavor blend of toffee, vanilla, almond and hazelnut all equally subtle so difficult to pull apart; smooth and chewy mouthfeel. A delicious, strong beer that begs to be shared and hoarded at the same time. 5000 (6900) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
bottle:   Black, thin foamy beige head, nice lacing.   Noticeable alcohol on the nose.   Otherwise heavy roasted malts, soy, and a touch of dark chocolate.   Seems a little young.   Roast, apple skin, sweet
soy, very soft chocolate and cocoa on the tongue.   Pretty tasty, but the alcohol fumes whaft through the nose.   Feels a bit average on the tongue.   Warming finish, soft soy, roast, and a touch of dark chocolate and cocoa.
Did I mention alcohol? radagast83 (8624) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - JUL 27, 2013
22oz bottle. Poured a dark, almost black color with a dark brown, tan head. Aroma was chocolate, sweet notes, some barrel notes in this one. Flavor is bitter, dark chocolate, barrel. Really good.

Bottle. Thick dark black pour, with a thin tan head. Very dark intense flavor, dark chocolate, heavy roast, raisin, earthy, milk chocolate, burnt brown sugar, and a bit of rye spiciness. tgncc (3144) - Bellmore, New York, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Nice aroma of dark chocolate, licorice, and spicy rye. The appearance is tar black, oily, almost no head. The flavor is chcolate, licorice, smooth coffee, and spicyness, attributable to rye. The finish is sweet, then a pine/resin bitterness, with some roastiness. A little booze in the flavor, and finish as well. Thick in body, oily mouthfeel. Excellently crafted imperial stout. jbeatty (1266) - New York, USA - JUL 19, 2013
Bottle, 2013 release, 07/19/2013. Pours black, dark brown mocha head, dense and creamy, great retention and a thick beard of lacing. Aroma is rich, dark chocolate with intense, earthy coffee roast, dry and nutty. Taste is cocoa nut, very dark chocolate, high bitterness, licorice, some dark fruity offset, spicy finish. Thick body, smooth despite the strong flavors. Quite nice. That1Guy (2240) - Colorado, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Most Wanted Series crushed with TheRon. Very cool label. Pours thick, pitch black, with a dark brown, bubbly head. A ridiculously good-looking beer. Everything about this beer is astringent as hell. I’m pretty damn okay with that. Sharp nose of black malts, coffee, roast, booze, a hint of acetaldehyde, and slight earthy hops. Full, thick mouthfeel, booze, more black malts, dark dark chocolate. a bit chalky, and very bitter. An incredibly well-crafted beer. jredmond (8839) - New York, New York, USA - JUL 8, 2013
Bottle courtesy of Puzzl (thanks Andy) shared with Podey and Ramy. Pours a pitch black body with thin brown lacing. Aroma is deep, deep coffee roast, bitter chocolate and earthy, woody twigs. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of chocolate and coffee (both very bittering) and a light earthy character. Nice stout.
