Bottle at home. Pours cloudy brown with a large, thick creamy beige head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is whiskey, lightly charred oak, earth/dirt notes, medium bready malt, earthy and lightly spicy hops, and faint figs. Flavor is lightly oxidized bready malt (Sherry), young spicy whiskey, oak, figs, light earthy and spicy hops and bitterness with a dry finish. Medium-full body and moderate carbonation. pushkinwow (2961) - Ottawa, CANADA - OCT 11, 2015
Bottle from AAndy. Cloudy mahogany with a creamy tan head that top things nicely throughout. Oaky, caramel, light yeasty, red apples, pear, smooth malt presence, mild carbonation and moderate body, smooth with some booziness, slightly sweet, decent. Bottle. Head is initially large, creamy, semi-rocky, off-white to light brown, fully lasting. Body is hazy medium to dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel, cake, cookie), with notes of frosting, oak, gum. Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, creamy texture, soft/lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
A sweet, creamy delight. Not really to style, but as with Suicide Run it’s hard not to like. AmEricanbrew (7080) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - MAY 30, 2015

trailer. Clear dark caramel color with ivory foam. Doughy, yeasty, spicy caramel, white cake, vanilla aromas. Smooth soft mouthfeel. Spicy caramel, yeasty, vanilla, Hawaiian bread, fruity flavors with a messy alcohol finish----decent.
Bomber from SHIG. Poured like a glass of apple cider, deep hazed brown body with a smaller frothy beige head. Aroma of apples, wood, vanilla, earth, fruity. Body is medium at best but carbonation is stronger. Flavor of tonic water, apple skins, oak, earth, fruit, toast.

(tap) clear, bright light amber colour with a small beige head; aroma of stewed fruit; balanced flavour with well hidden alcohol Duchammer (186) - Eagle river, Alaska, USA - DEC 31, 2014
Bottle poured hazy bronish red with a white lace. Aroma was nice oak notes fruity sour green apple. I get a lot of sweet stone fruit such as peach and pear subtle oak to taste which I feel it gives a slight bitterness. Finishes dry. Fun beer. BlowOffTube (515) - Michigan, USA - NOV 16, 2014
Amber pour. Some wood apple and tartness aroma. Pear apple oak and some tart flavors but minimal. Light body and livEly carbonation. Enjoyable. Bulk_Carrier (6064) - Vermont, USA - SEP 28, 2014
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark hazy brown color with a thin half finger white foamy head that must have stuck for at least a good three minutes. Wow, nice retention. The lacing seemed to be slightly minimal, no worries, it mostly looked good to me.
The smell had a nice malted fruit - pear and granny Smith apples, light clove - like spice. But then a nice sweet citrus came in a nice way.
The taste was sweet with a nice light spice, light apple, and clove spice.
On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a decent sipping quality about it. The carbonation seemed barely there, however, no worries, as this one had a really nice citrus to spice rolling over my tongue in its texture.
Overall, biere de garde, well, I liked it for me, but honestly I haven’t had too many of these. I’d still have this again. Oakes (19370) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 20, 2014
Hazy brownish-amber, aroma is tart, lightly fruity. Tart, muddy malts and a yeasty finish. No idea what they’re going for here. I know BdG is a meaningless style term, but this doesn’t seem close to any BdG I’ve had, so I really didn’t get this one at all.
